While watching the game, I was in extreme pain, taking this garbage Ravens team at 12.5. The only thing I could even find amusing was the fact that Miller bet a bundle on the Raven's. Miller was constantly complaining about the Raven's offense, Qb, running back, and play calling, and Kyle richardson.

Miller was demanding in the middle of the 2nd quarter in a 3-3- game for the Ravens to bring in Cunningham. Then he was pissed off when they didn't go for it on any of the 4th downs. He was really getting on Grbac and Kyle Richardson their punter, because those 2 were really killing the Raven's chances of covering the 12.5. When Grbac found Sharpe on back to back passes in the 4th, Miller went crazy, " This is the Grbac they expected,"

He also kept mentioning that this is there season, and they have to score more points to put Minnesota away ( meaning win by 12.5) He must of really needed the win yesterday, because he put his gambling before his job. He was hired to supposedly add some much needed humour to the broadcast. Did anyone notice, not even 1 joke from Miller, he was so zoned into his bet Ravens at -13 it wasn't even funny. Usually they don't make it that obvious who he bet, but because of the REALLY POOR play by the Raven's he had no choice to vent his anger live on the air.

My guess is that the crew of announcers received inside information of how bad Spurgeon Wynn really is. This guy is NOT AN NFL QB, he never will be. Anybody who bet the Ravens basically bet against Spurgeon Wynn and not for Baltimore.

Funny how these Monday night games spread outcome has been decided in the last minute of many games this year. IS ABC trying to get viewers to watch the entire game, or is it just coincidence. How did the refs screw up the chain marking with one of the Raven's 1st downs. Also how many offensive penalties were called on the Vikings? I knew I won my bet the minute Richardson pinned the Vikings at the 20 with 1.45 to go. Just when the ball was snapped I knew Baltimore would end up with the ball in the Vikings endzone.

The funniest thing yesterday was Miller's trashing of Baltimore Rb Jason Brookings, when he tried unsuccesfully on 3rd down to leap into the endzone, Miller blasted him by saying Raven's need to bring in Terry Allen, Brookings has been injured and lacks the QUICKNESS AND EXPLOSIVENESS. How does he know that?? And they only needed 1 yard, so I doubt it if he was an quicker or more explosive he might get the 1 yard. That was too funny when he said that.

Baines, I couldnt have said it any better...Miller didnt crack one joke the entire night...And I loved the quote "Maybe I'm thinking with my heart and not my head" comment about how fg's were giving Minnesota momentum. Why didn?t dennis miller just come out say already, "I'm losing a bundle on the Ravens -13 tonight folks."

miller must have made a killing last night, i think he went into the ravens lockeroom after the game and gave HEAD to Jaime Sharper , could it have been anymore obvious this moron was all over the ravens last night

With 5 mins left the ravens kept passing the ball rather than running the clock and Micheal and Fouts were questioning this strategy while miller must have been sitting back sweating and praying for a ravens td so he wouldnt have to donate his salary to his bookie

*********NOTE TO ABC***************

GET THAT IDIOT OUTTA THE BOTH NEXT SEASON

Perhaps the best comment...

Perhaps the best comment...

Right after the Ravens D scored was Al saying "Well that just made a lot of people happy, and a lot of people REALLY happy"

Miller than made a reference to Amarillo Slim, one of the last remaining poker old timers.

The Vikings, down by nine with minutes remaining in the game, punted the ball away from midfield on fourth-and-nine instead of going for it in a "nothing to lose" situation.

Only Dennis could quip: "Have we fallen into some sort of cosmic decision-making wormhole here?"

So Cal
while not necessarily disagreeing with your premise, I can assure you that it was no secret that spurgeon Wynn does not possess skills of an NFL QB at this time. He played the previous week and achieved a quarterback rating of about 20. That fact was not secret information.

You've got to be kidding me:rolleyes:

Oh, and BTW, I think by now the WHOLE forum realizes that you think the Ravens suck, and their season is over already, and the Dolphins will dominate. If you have additional comments regarding the game, I would love to read them in one of your 10 existing threads already posted on the subject. After all, your posts are always good for a great laugh.

Sincerely,

thank you bernie

thank you bernie

i have always admired guys on this site who possess a certain amount of dignity, character and common sense. you as well as many others speak volumes. i think there is a certain amount of the general public that rants, blames, and cries fix every time the team they bet on loses to the number. these are the same guys that throw shoes through the tv screen and feel like dumbasses later that night. your insights are always appreciated by me.

Well I guess my participation in this forum over the last 2 years has added nothing. It seems as though the forum is being taken over by the likes of posters like Bains and yourself. With that being the case, I will take your advice and GET THE HELL OUT OF HERE. At least until this forum returns to being about INTELLIGENT discussions and info about handicapping. Sometimes it seems as though this place is attracting a bunch of Pre-schoolers who don't have a clue what handicapping is all about.

Good luck to all in the future. I'll be back when/if this forum gets back on track.

I have nothing against any cappers in the forum as they add some great insight and thoughts into the game. I use information on this site to value public opinion and to gain valuable information.

Look back in the threads if anybody cares to and I can guarantee you that I have picked winners at a very good rate. I don't post winners every day, but when I do post on a game I do my research and I WIN. Many on this site have taken my advice, as my analytical breakdowns on the games have persuaded many to follow my picks. I personally know 6 players who played on 4 different NCAA division 1 schools last year from Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. I haven't been around here for 2 years, and 3000 posts, but my insight speaks for itself. I tried to point out first Maryland and then Nebraska as the sucker plays of the year. WHY? I wasn't just shooting smoke, my long time neighbour last year's Gator Qb, Jesse Palmer, told me "MIAMI WILL DESTROY NEBRASKA" Don't believe check out NFl rosters Giants, and look up his hometown.

I find it hard to comprehend why BARFLY is making threats that he is going to leave. I have never even offended Barfly, nor I have even communicated with him at this site. I know my comments may be controversial at times, but I know that many on this site have taken my advice and insight and used it to cap a game.

By the way for the sake of argument you requoted my quote

"I guess the announcers received inside information about how bad Spurgeon Wynn really is."

Well I guess I'm making another stupid comment here, but you know it's kind of funny that the majority of cappers here including greats like Raymond were on Minnesota, and I doubt it they were aware of WYNN's true playing ability.
I state facts, and angles that have led to successfull season after season of capping.
Barfly I posted this thread On Tuesday morning, because I found it rather humorous that Dennis Miller bet on the Raven's. Nobody objected or was offended, and you took it upon yourself to bump it back up to the top, and initiate this useless continuation of this thread.

you state a bunch of garbage too BAINS.......look at two of your posts that are still up...."Don't point the finger at Grbac" and "Grbac is the key to tonights game"......COMPLETELY contradict each other.........

It provided me a good laugh to read these two threads and realize that the same person wrote them.......

Just keep your clutter in the same thread and maybe it will be easier for you to realize some of the stuff you are saying.......

Glad to see my posts are keeping you guys busy all day. I hope you guys have fun reading them and nitpicking them and looking for contradictions. Freeze contradictory opinions in handicapping is very normal, you see it all the time in this forum.

This site is all about $$$ and I have helped many cappers make $$$, and those who have followed me in the past will speak out to my defense. That's the Bottom Line$$ and Winners.

Freeze did I ever say you contradict yourself? No I didn't, I see so many posts that start out pissing matches for no reason. I respect your opinion Freeze. Let's not waste our time fighting each other and fight VEGAS.

I put as much as 13 hours a day handicapping games. There will always be differing opinions on the Internet, and I feel everyone should stop criticizing each other and concentrate on the goal fo winning which i do very well.

I love to help cappers, when I know I have a solid winner, I will post, as was evident by my previous posts in college.

I'm not the ones starting these disruptions. Read this thread and you'll see who inititated the disruptions. My only goal is to win games vs the books. These are my intentions and people take it the wrong way and try to pick faults in my threads. I know the game, that's the bottom line.

Jimmy? Check it out , Jesse Palmer home town nepean----Florida Gator QB for 4 years, plays for Giants now

Morgan Kane home town nepean, running back Wake Forest for 4 years

Pat woodcock wide receiver, home town Nepean Syracuse University for 4 years

Marc Pilon, defensive lineman,, home town Nepean Syracuse University for 4 years

Jeff Pilon, Offensive lineman, home town Nepean Syracuse University for 4 years

Billy Palmer, Tight End, home town Nepean Notre Dame Irish, in his 3rd year

I have a good grasp on the BIG EAST, SEC, and the Independants

I know them all from playing minor football and as good friends.

So Jimmy before you go shooting your mouth off get the facts, you would know it if you read my post with my inside information that prompted me to call NEBRASKA THE SUCKER PLAYER OF 2002.
