The people betting Denver will be making there plays soon. All the dog players are waiting for line to go to 7. There will be plenty of players on Denver as line hits 7. I truly think they are just raising line to try to even out the action more. Of course more money will be on the favorite and Vegas will be rooting for Denver cover. All I'm saying is the line is just going up to try to bring in more Denver money.

Everyone is saying how the books are leading the square to slaughter just like they did with DEN/NE.
But the line didn't move in DEN/NE. But CAR has moved from -3.5 to -6. With roughly the same % of bets.
Vegas is NOT reacting the same way they did last week. They are NOT content to see everyone take CAR, or else the line would not have moved.

Here's the major difference . The line in the Denver vs N.E game was -3.
3 is a key #. It takes a whole lot more money to move the line off 3 up to 3.5 or down to 2.5 . However once it's moved off 3 it takes much less to go from 3.5 to 4.
Also the line did move to New England -2.5 +105 about 5 minutes before game time .

Totally agree!! Vegas would like an even amount on both teams and they can't lose. 3 is definitely a key number. I remember several years ago back in 1979, Pittsburgh and Dallas played in Super Bowl XIII where the line started out at Pitts -3 1/2 which brought in all of the Pittsburgh action, then the line moved up to -4 1/2 and that brought in all of the Dallas action (+4 1/2) and the game ended with Pittsburgh winning 35-31.....by 4 points! So the majority of bets on both sides won and Vegas got SMOKED!!! :mj07: Does anyone remember that?
