according to CBS Sports Denver will clinch the West w/a loss by SD.

can Denver improve their postioning in the playoffs by winning any of their remaining games.

SD game is at 1pm eastern..

Denver game not until 4pm eastern

hate to see folks get ambushed w/a Denver play in a scenerio where Denver rests their starters after a quarter or so if the clinch w/a SD loss before ever taking the field at Carolina.

I am probably missing something here..

nothing new though:mj07:

If Denver were playing for their playoff lives they wouldn't beat CArolina at home...Either way I'm on Carolina...and I love them on a two-team tease with New England or Washington or the jets...

Carolina undefeated at home...incredible running attack and playing for a possible #1 seed in the NFC...Denver not as good as their record indicates...

They're one and done in the playoffs whoever they play.

Carolina has scored 30+ two weeks in a row, making them at least a look as a bet against, they also play the Giants next week in NY,a game they just might peek a look at a week early.Carolina has played two super games in a row and have an obvious look ahead with the Giants next week,so do you think they will just play great week after week or settle for just doing enough to win this week.It takes a lot of emotional and physical preparation to play great, usually teams can't do it week after week and they just shot a huge emotional nut on MNF.Denver has only covered four times with two pushes this year, but three of the four covers were as road dogs, the exception being in NE where they got routed.GL either way,but there are good reasons to play Denver in this spot.

OS,

Denver's magic number is one. A loss by SD or a win by them clinches the division. They have Buff at home next week then travel to SD for the finale. If they are one game up on SD and they lose the finale they are out--SD is in (if SD wins out).

Should they win the division it's almost a gurantee they will be a 3rd or 4th seed. They could win out and finish 11-5 but highly unlikely and doubt the AFC North falters bad enough for them to leap ahead. Shanny's penchant for resting players for the playoffs needs to be considered as well should SD lose at KC.

This being said, Car could be due for a letdown and lookahead to next weeks matchup. Denver's offense makes them a good team to sneak in the back door but I have had a good feel for Denver this year and I think this week they get beat (badly). I already have Car in teasers with Saints and the over from Thursday and if I can get an 8 or 9 by gametime I would think off going for a middle for half of it. However, if SD loses at KC, I'll just let them ride...

good luck

thanks guys..

really like Denver in this 13.5 tease..

Detroit at Indianapolis
Indianapolis -3.50

Det allows 9 yrds per pass play..Peyton will eat them for lunch just like he did the Ravens..

Cleveland at Philadelphia
Philadelphia -0.50

Philly should not falter against 3rd string visting qb to the sweet and tender Eagle fans delight.

San Diego at Kansas City
Kansas City +19.50

KC can certainly stay within this # of SD

Denver at Carolina
Denver +21.00

+21...3 unanswered TD'S don't bet ya..tack on 17 points at least for Denver who will be forced to throw and will gladly do so anyway..and Carolina has to post a 39 to kill the teaser..Panthers would just as soon run the ball the whole damn game if they can and they can.

I have banged these teasers ( 28-8 [+24.64] units)[12 straight in one stretch]
nearly the whole season and want to finish out strong..

just don't want to get in the spot where Denver figures they can't improve their seeding and pull starters and schyt can my play..

these type of laydowns are coming..just wait til Tenn goes to Indy with nothing to loose..

thanks again and good luck to all..

SUPERBOWL XLIII... 50 days away..
