What is the word on Denver RB's? I picked up tatum bell in a draft and someone said he was the 3rd back, behind anderson and griffin. Is this true? I thought he was supposed to be the best out of the 3?

In order:

Mike Anderson, Tatum Bell, Quentin Griffin, Ron Dayne, Maurice Clarett.

Seems to me like Anderson and Bell will be splitting a lot of time though. Clarett will doubtfully ever play and Shanahan hates Griffin because his hands are greased with butter.
No clue where Ron Dayne fits in, but I heard he's not in great shape.

Hope he's not your starting rb.

It seems to be a competion for the top spot.

Ron Dayne looking real good.......

game 1 11-56
game 2 18-87

bell had a nice game last night 11-62
anderson 5-39

If Dayne keeps this up he might get the call

But i do know that the coaching staff loves this bell guy

No chance Ron Dayne gets the call. He sucks. He was overrated in New York. He's a big pile of lard who ran over weak defensive linemen in the Big Ten. He's just a load to take down, but doesn't have NFL speed and is too much of a twat to put in at the goalline. Those numbers for the first two preseason were against scrubs. Anderson and Bell will be the guys at the start of the year, and I'd imagine Bell will get most of the carries and Anderson coming in for short yardage.

As for Arrington, he's the starter. Shipp might be a 3rd down back. Unless arrington really screws up in the next few weeks he's gonna get the ball. The cardinals have had shipp for a while and know what he can do, and its not be a starter in the NFL.

I've been wrong before, but I saw Tatum Bell play almost every game his last year of college, and while he was solid with Okie State, I just can't see how he's good enough to be an everyday NFL back.

Agree on Dayne... my time as a student there happened to be during the Ron Dayne Era, and it was awesome being there with a Heisman winner and winning two Rose Bowls and all, but I never thought he was going to be able to succeed at the next level. Almost all my friends thought I was a moron when I told them Dayne would be a bust, but that certainly turned out the be the case.

Ron Dayne was never used correctly in new york
he wasted away,Fassel never liked him and never played him.
I would love to see him carry the ball 25 times a game,i personally think he got game.

We will see,he sure is opening eyes in Denver.

Only two preseason games but the local radio vibe says Andrson, Dayne; Bell.

The midget didnt do it last year so we OVER EMPHASIZE the big back... just as bad.

If Anderson appears healthy id say dump the madison wannabe and move on but us Brronco fans miss that big back in key situations so 2 sounds better.

Id say hide the midget in a place you might be able to to find if the big boys go down.

Im not a GM and i didnt stay at a holliday express last night. :mj14:
