Detroit plays enough D to keep Favre from being able to complete all sorts of passes off his back foot, and when he can't do that, that's when he gets picked.
Detroit realy has their fans behind em at home and they should put on a good show here again a Mike Sherman led team that is totally un motivated, ripe for another whoopin...
This line will go up and down all week...but the Lions are the play here.
Artose Pinner is an ample fill in at RB, and HArrington plays mistake free for the most part--

Sexlexia...
I just said in another thread (Sam's)....

...I follow Detroit pretty closely, and I would be waiting on the injury report late in the week.

Williams, Schlesinger, Bly, Goodman are all questionable.

Det has ZERO ground game...they won't be able to take advantage of GB's horrible run D. This will be especially true if Schlesinger doesn't play.
If Williams is out, they have no deep threat. Hakim is patchy at best, then there's only Alexander at TE and the backfield to throw to.
No Goodman or Bly leaves them VERY thin at CB.

Det are pretty awful offensively anyway...second last only to Miami in total yards!! Second last to Miami in ypr. 4th last in passing ypg.

Without Williams esp. I just can't see them moving the ball.

They do have a quality run D, but again, without Goodman and/or Bly, Favre might have a huge day! (If he can limit his turnovers, which indoors he can't ever seem to do!)

I know it's GB in a dome, but I'm actually thinking under in this game.....But again (again!), definately waiting for an injury update later in the week.

Hope that all made some kind of sense.

Being a Packer Fan/follower/favre fan, here goes my opinion:

Favre is a great QB, without a doubt but when he is behind in a game sometimes he throws INTs like hes blind. Playing in a dome and tuf dont help the problem. Throws up too many prayers at his old age these days :)

Green is a good running back behind a good o-line. Green goes how the O-line goes. He's small, fast but with that comes the fumbles. Being small he seems to get smashed and loses the ball. The arm band worked for quite a bit, but it the problem has came back already a more than a few games this year.

O-Line is probably the best part of the team IMO. Good all around, handle running and pass blocking well.

Defense! GOD. First off I dont know why they traded off Mackenzie away, do they think they have surplus secondary?!?. Their secondary is what you seen on Monday vs Tenn. Exposed!! They're overall small persons who cant cover the tall WR and the league knows it.

D-Line is ok. Not getting the sacks they want without extra pressure but.... it will hold.

Coach - OK (hardly). He's good when he brings the blitz and stupid when he does that prevent with 8 DBs. That prevent is garbage and never works for the pack on those 3rd and 20s. BRING THE HEAT!!! or at least just drop 5-6 DBs!

Overall Elvis, stick with not playing them or playing against them. It works for me. I dont take them unless it is a blind stupid homer Sunday/Monday night game (not this Monday fortunately). They are as unpredictable as a woman. :)

GL on your plays.

I think Mr Christo has it correct - Lions weak ground and so-so air game will will have a hard time exploiting GB's Defense. Also after Pack embarassing display on National TV they will really come out focussed - better on D and I believe especially to get their own run game going. But - it is a dome game. I believe this will be a tough game but that Favre will find a way to win. And I am no Favre fan.

Injury update on Lions. Kevin Jones will play and split time with Pinner. Roy Williams very likely to play but will be a game time decision. Barring a new injury between now and gametime Bly will start. Goodman is out, and Schlesinger is likely out.
