The Tigers have been red-hot all season and are responding well to
the tutelage of new manager Jim Leyland. This West Coast trip is huge. The
Tigers won all three games in their first trip to Seattle in April, part
of a 6-3 road trip that came after Leyland?s now famous tirade about how
things were going to be different in Detroit. Have they ever. The changes
are obvious. Detroit has baseball?s best road record by far and they still
haven?t lost a road trip all year. Seattle has played well at home and
that?s an important trend to follow when watching baseball odds. The only
homestand they?ve had with a losing record all year was that April run
that included the Detroit sweep.
