to discount Indy after all theyve been thru is kinda ludicrous ... how many games this series goes is moot to argue about, b/c it could end up various ways ... but the fact is, Deet wasn't that far out of possibly going back to philly down 3-2 had things broken slightly different (b4 anyone trampolines this, im just pointing out the minute edges of games) I have deet to win the east, but when I left game 4 with two mins left and philly had the ball up4 i thought no way this doesnt go at least 6 ... then philly gave deet all they wanted in game 5 ... turning on and off the faucet leads to precarious environs ... I love LB and Rip, Chauncey, Prince, Ben, Rasheed et al, but this is no yellow brick road to Oz and the eastern crown ... ya gotta bring back that broomstick, no one is gonna hand it to you

...tayshuan prince and the 2 wallaces are going to have trouble with jamaal tinsley? come on man, get real.

Your statement is confusing. They already experienced problems last night, he had 12 assists to 0 turnovers. He was a key factor in the win.

You obviously have some connection to Detriot but please this is a gambling forum, not a fan forum. Calling me a moron for believing Indiana has a shot is childish. If they have no chance why do bookmakers offer odds on the series? They've never been the sort to give away money.

I'm fully aware Detriot has advantages in this series and will probably prevail but betting wise I cannot see any equity in backing the Pistons. In fact I see great betting opportunities with the Pacers.

allright, put your money up on indiana and tell me how much you win. we will compare our payouts. thats the only way to settle this since you guys are too blind to the obvious and just want to be different and look like your a good capper if you pull out an underdog.

im taking detroit tonight minus the points. all you indiana backers who ran your mouth on this thread, put your money up and respond to this thread tomorrow morning after the game. we'll see how many of you come back.

good luck
detroit what!

well even tho I lost my ml parlay with deet to phx +2.5 and straight bet on deet, I have to tip my hat to pacers ... Deet looked unorganized and unfocused when they appeared to have righted ship and took 1 pt lead ... how bout a few more brick-treys Rasheed?, i mean you only went 0-4 and none were even close ... tayshaun handed ball to Indy like they were disguised in Deet jerseys ... Rip made dumb 6th foul that turned tide with reggie goign to line to regain lead... lets look at Deet since the first two games against philly: not what i call a juggernaut, barely hanging by skin of teeth, 3-3 since then, and prob should be 2-4 (they whooped on Indy after indy finsihed grueling 7 game set, since then no shows in motown) and this against teams they were favored in series app. 10/1 or more... so whats to like about a East Champ future? .... not much, in my book right now ... Carlisle has def. outcoached Larry so far ... Hopefully for me and anyone else holding a Piston stub for conf. champs, they rebound like last year when facing adversity ... This team is limping big time right now and no denying it ...

whatya you guys forsee down the road?

Scott- You are severely underestimating how good Detroit was last year and how good they are this season.

This year's squad isn't as deep as last year's, but their starting five is the best all-around starting five in the league...by far.

Detroit has a better starting 5 than San Antonio, Phoenix, or Miami by far?

I think so. Taking into account both offense and defense, I think they are definitely the most complete, well-rounded, most balanced starting five in the league.

nice bounce back by LB's Pistons ... took a tiny bit more at +240 before game to win east ... my thinking is that Shaq has something more than what they are saying ... watching him in playoffs he seems to have zero "pop" in the low block ....

detroit is much more physical than washington also. if shaq didnt have "pop" against the wizards, hes going to have a tough time with the wallaces.

hopefully detroit closes this pacers series out in the next 2 games.

i was just wondering where all these people went that put their life savings on indiana?
they are no where to be found, but when the series was 2-1 indy they were all out running their mouths.

if my calculations are correct, detroit just covered 2 straight games and im glad i took them. if you were smart you would put all the money you lost on indiana in the last 2 games, on detroit thursday night to wrap this series up and move onto the heat.

Who wrote they had their life savings on Indiana?

Since the end of game 2 there have only been 8-9 posts, zero included the "running of their mouths" about Indiana.

Please tell me to what posts you are referring to.

Congrats on your Pistons being up 3-2 in series. I took Detroit at 5-1 to win it all and you helped give me confidence in placing that bet because you are so confident in them winning East.

Nobody in this thread said they were taking Indiana huge. Posters were saying Indiana might have chance to win series and might be opportunities to win $$$ betting on Indiana. I think all those posters were not off base with there analysis. Indiana did and still does have a "chance" to win series.

true, but doubtful

im glad you put $$ on them to win it all. at 5-1 that is a good bet. miami shouldnt be a problem, phoenix or S.A. may be tough.

jalen,

you seem very angry about something, I also have the Pistons to win the east and I dont quite understand your POV ... you as I recall promised a Deet win in game 3 and typed a lot of heated words then you disappeared after challenging everyone to return to this thread, now that the Pistons have won you have returned like MacArthur to Bataan ... just chill some, Deet has a good team but you are not making it happen, the players are ...

gl to the Pistons

im not angry about anything, and i was never angry. i just was trying to convince people to stay off indiana and bet with detroit. if you stuck with the pistons you would have made money this series. thats all i was saying. i didnt like the fact that people were jumping on indiana's nuts because they won ONE game in the series. i hate that.
