I watch almost zero hockey but decided to bet on and watch last 2 games of Stanley Cup and took DET both games.

I don't know much about hockey but Pittsburgh DOMINATED them both games. Either Pitt played great or Det played awful or, more than likely, a combination of the two.

Most of both games...looked like Pitt had an extra man on the ice at all times. At least I took Under tonight, but still lost a lot.

Main thing I learned is how bad I hate hockey. There is a lot of action, but as far as I'm concerned...WHO CARES. What a crappy sport. How can anyone like this shit???

On top of everything....its like arena football. Guys go offsides all the time, but they don't call it. I'm sure there are many other things that get overlooked too, but I see guys offsides constantly and they don't call it.

I have no problem with hockey fans....if you like it...more power to you.

I just know that I hate hockey and most "fans" I know are only fans when the local team is winning. I live in North Carolina and people go crazy when the "Canes" are winning but could care less about hockey before they got here and when they are losing. They also have no idea that the "Canes" used to be the "Hartford Whalers" before they got here.

I think most fans think that the Carolina Hurricanes were an expansion team and again, could give a rat's ass about hockey unless they can go to a bar and pretend to care while getting drunk and "cheering" for the "local team".

I have no problem with hockey fans, but I hate it and can't stand "fans" that only care about it because a local team is in the news.

Congrats Penguins, you outplayed the shit out of Detroit last 2 games!

By the way.....

I don't put too much into polls, but NHL came in 15th...just slightly behind arena football as the most watched sport.

I'm surprised it came in that high. I'd rather watch transvestite bowling than a hockey game.

i'm a carolina fan and watched the entire pitt series and just about every other one as well.

You are way off base about cane fans. There is a very loyal, hardcore base that knows their shit about hockey and many of which are northern transplants. How many games have you been to? Sure there are fringe fans but every city, every sport has them.

I am guessing you are not :canada1 :142smilie

Note: If you were in fact Canadian you would be killed for your comments....just messin' with ya.

And as for your "offside" comment, I think you need to know the rule, I assure you the linesman were not missing offsides, trust me on that.

You are correct, Pitt deserved to win the Cup, and they did.
