Ok I am strugglin to stay around .500 in bases.....admit baseball is not my sport to wager on...

So I will decline to some of the wiser more capable cappers here...


But let me ask, with some who I really respect and check on here daily,


How in the world am I supposed to go against verlander tonite?

I mean this guy is gonna throw a gem 9 out of 10 starts, and this oakland lineup struggles to score 2 runs each game.....


Unless your tellin me parker matches verlander inning for inning and oakland wins 1-0, I cannot see backin oaky....

I'm not an MJ big hitter but a winning bettor an d A's fan.

IMO value is in A's gun to head but under all day. If either of these teams scores more than 4 I'll eat my hat.

That's what I was thinking, Tigers haven't scored much.. maybe parker does cruise with verlander. I see a 2-1, 3-2 type game :shrug:

Detroit has scored 3, 0, 3, 1 and 4 runs in 5 games at Oakland this year. That will not change tonight as boneheaded Leyland is trotting out the same garbage lineup that has been awful against righties of late.

Verlander has been great against Oakland this year but its easy to forget that JV has traditionally been bad in his highest profile starts. This years All Star game and Game 1 of the World Series back in '06 come to mind. There is a decent chance he'll be too amped up and have a similar result. Also, his career playoff ERA is 4.95.

Obviously Oakland has a huge advantage in the bullpen as well.

I'm a huge Tigers fan and would love nothing more than a W here, but IMO this has Oakland written all over it.
