TAMPA BAY DEVIL RAYS +140 - I know it?s always a risk when you take Tampa Bay, but they look to offer some nice value at this price given tonight?s pitching matchup. Kennedy may already be the ace of this staff at his young age, and this southpaw has given the Blue Jays fits recently. The Devil Rays have won Kennedy?s last 3 starts vs. Toronto, as he posted a 2.25 ERA with a fantastic 0.85 ratio over those starts, covering 20 innings. Granted, he has been schizophrenic in his last 2 starts, getting torched for 10 runs and 13 hits in just 4 innings by the Twins in his last start after tossing a Complete Game 1-hit Shutout in his previous outing. Given his past success vs. Toronto, I look for Kennedy to perform closer to his start 2 back tonight. Sturtze has simply not done enough to warrant being this big a favorite over ANYONE. He is 3-3, but with a 5.92 ERA and a poor ratio of 1.68. Furthermore, he has pitched even worse here at home, where he has a 7.20 ERA and a 1.93 ratio, allowing an opponents batting average of .373!
