DEVIL RAYS/RED SOX Under 7 -105 - Pedro will be anxious to prove that his shellacking at the hands of the Orioles last Saturday was a fluke, and what better team to have a bounce-back start against than Tampa Bay! Martinez has simply owned the Devil Rays over the years, recording a 2.21 ERA and a miniscule 0.93 ratio against them in 9 starts since the 2000 season, covering 57 innings. He already tossed a gem at them this season on Opening Day, allowing just 1 unearned run on 3 hits in 7 innings. Kennedy also recorded a Quality Start vs. Boston in that same game, holding the Bosox to 1 earned run in 7 innings. He is a crafty southpaw that is very good at keeping opposing batters off balance. The only danger to this Under may the ineffectiveness of the bullpens, but if these starters duplicate their Opening Day form, that may be a moot point as they are both capable of going at least 7 innings.
