none of the three games appealed to me ; thus, i passed the entire opening night card.

however i dont think ive ever seen an entire forum have a better collective effort than the one on opening night tonight (tuesday)

the established cappers hit their plays.
the occasional cappers hit their plays.
the guys coming out of the woodwork hit their plays.

nice job to all. thats how it should be done every night boys.

only play that seemed split was the side play in the dallas/lakers game. saw some people grab the points.

but lots of winning tickets on the suns, the sixers under, and the lakers under.

seems everyone is getting their threads bumped with the requisite "good job"

figured an all-encompassing congrats to all would better appease the board

c'mon everyones ego is huge here not just Worm's. do you really think people are here to help out or here to graitfy their egos to everyone else? simply put, why do cappers when they win make sure they RECAP their winning night and make sure the board knows they won. so its a given its nothing but egos here so don't ket it bother you. i know that and so does everyone else. doesnt bother me one bit. i dont think anyone is so naive to really think people post here to help out people they dont even know or they ever will know or meet. if people really wanna help out then take down peopls addresses and send them money. so its not just worm. its you and all of us with the egos. everyone is here for one reason. THEY WANNA BE THE MAN AND MAKE SURE EVERYONE KNOWS IT. if not then why does everyone recap and yell so much that they won

and I think most in here will admit they bet more for fun than to win huge amounts of $$$ ... the few who do that, I dont wanna sound too negative here, are rare as twinkles on the darkside of the Moon (and Im sure there are random flashes) ... some years some people make some money, most years 50% + people lose money; I just really dont think many here can say they drastically change their life style winning vaults of money gambling...

If i'm wrong Id enjoy seeing a list of hands who honestly make enuff money year in year out to buy homes, yatchs, cars, travel to Italy, etc ... and then for each one of those, Id like to see those who get to deal with their wives for making Xmas shrink like a slug with Mortons salt on its spine ....

JUST THE GOATS COMMENTS----IVE BEEN READING THIS FORUM FOR QUITE SOME TIME, AS A HELPER TO HANDICAP GAMES. I DIDNT START POSTING UNTIL RECENTLY. THE REASON I STARTED POSTING IS NOT MY EGO JODY, ITS TO TRY AND ADD TO AN INTELLIGENT CONVERSATION BOARD ABOUT BETTING SPORTS. I POSTED A QUESTION SATURDAY ABOUT THE MINN-NYG GAME, BECAUSE I WANTED TO BET ON MINN. GMAN AND QUITE A FEW OTHERS ALL PLAYED DEVILS ADVOCATE, AND TALKED ME OUT OF THAT GAME. IM REALLY GLAD THEY DID TOO, CAUSE THE GIANTS WON. 0'fer for me last night. Couldn't even hit with the Mavs +5, and also had the Heat and Heat Over. Odom leaving after 8 minutes didn't help matters much.

MY LEAN HAS DEFINATELY BEEN THE UNDER, HOWEVER I HATE BETTING UNDERS IN TIGHT GAMES LIKE THESE. OVERTIME AND GOOD FREE THROW SHOOTING CAN KILL YOU, NOT TO MENTION IF THE REGGIE GETS HIS 3 BALL GOING. I THINK +5 IS A GOOD VALUE...THIS IS A STATEMENT AME FOR CARLISLE IF IVE EVER SEEN ONE.:shrug:

PT1Gard, could'nt agree wiht you more. I know from my perspective this is purely a hobby. If I make a little all well and good. And if I lose I don't bet over my head. I love the action as many can see by the numerous games I play. I know it's too many plays but I like the action and I play each one for the same amount. Very seldom do I ever raise my wager. When I call my bookie I don't even say what each play is for because there always the same. Good Luck to you on all your bets. Ron

G-man i will post tomorrow a little something on the Bulls Toledo game in the other forum-----but let the worm say something else here--I enjoy helping others-really I do when people ask me about the Buffalo team I always post back info (where as when I give picks I just give the picks)----as for the money part--what is a lot of money for one person may not be for another person--the WORM does dare say there are more cappers than you think smashing large amounts of $$ and winning and buying large thing to compliment their lifestyle.........:) :D :cool:

If it wasn't for egos few of us would be here. This chit is hard to do. Too much work involved to get nothing.

So I agree that some recognition is key. But not to dwell on.

There is also the fact that we do this alone. The final decision on winning or losing our money takes place when we key in the numbers to make the play.

Its kinda like golf where you have no one to blame but yourself.
But you do play with others and good shot , tough break etc enter into the golf game as well. We have alot of golfers here.

Madjacks is the closest thing to teammates that we have.

So if we can talk to enough people in Madjacks and get a good enough group of dedicated winning teammates , then we win money.

It is a simple concept really.
