From what I understand (not knowing a thing bout this type stuff) they will be a bit handcuffed in the future. Won't be operated the same way. Won't be the same company. I don't think you can use historical numbers here.

Yeah... i know they are goin to restructure... and I have no idea what in the hell I'm doing either... I figured I would jump along for the ride and hopefully make some coin in the next month or so. nothing long term at all... unless it keeps going up

I don't think it's just a restructure.....

They will not be able to operate as they did before. They won't be given the same latitude. It'll be a very toned down version. Someone else with better knowledge can address this.

Why is AIG Agency Auto being sold?
Our parent company, AIG, recently received a credit line from the Federal Reserve Bank of New York to assist with their short-term liquidity issues. AIG is selling certain assets and subsidiaries in order to repay the loan.

Why did the government extend a line of credit to AIG?
The government loaned our parent company up to $85 billion to help with our operations. We would like to make clear that the financial issues of our parent company do not impact our ability to pay claims and underwrite new policies.

Who is buying AIG Agency Auto?
AIG has announced its intention to sell AIG Agency Auto; however, we do not yet know who the buyer will be. While AIG's asset sales are not finalized, you can be confident that your book of business is safe.

How does the sale of AIG Agency Auto impact my book of business?
AIG Agency Auto Operations, including Claims Services, will continue to function in the efficient manner that you have come to expect and we are excited and look forward to what our future holds.

Will I continue to receive my commission payments on time?
AIG Agency Auto will continue to meet its agent and broker obligations, including the payment of commissions.

Is the name of your company changing?
At this time we will continue to operate as AIG Agency Auto.

If my insured has a claim, will AIG be able to pay it?
Yes. AIG is able to pay all valid claims. Our insurance companies remain strong and well capitalized. The sale will not diminish our ability to pay claims, including large individual claims and multiple claims in the event of a natural catastrophe.

Is AIG bankrupt?
AIG is not bankrupt. The financial issues of our parent company do not impact our ability to pay claims and underwrite new policies. Our insurance companies remain strong and well capitalized. AIG Agency Auto will continue to provide world class service to our policyholders, agents and brokers.

I have taken a small hit on it, but IMO in 6 months it will be well over 7 or 8 bucks. but I have no idea what in the hell i'm doing...

Wachovia has been good to me and made me a lot this week. I'm glad I sold early because of that exclusive rights claim citi is saying.

I have a feeling next week, aig is going to drop a little more since they are selling some of their assets in order to pay the loan back.

I'm getting scared and might dump it right now. I have no idea how it will open monday, but it is slightly up afterhours right now. I will take a small hit on it in order to cover some of the short term i've made on wachovia this week.

What do yall think?

you're right, but I need to know in the next couple of minutes because I was going to throw a trade in after hours.

I just wish i knew what in the hell I was doing, or think in the long term for once.

c.d.`s....bad banks are offering big rates and now they`re insured up to $250 g`s...

if you can afford to leave it lay for awhile...
