took the kids swimming and worked on my native tan. Watched some tv. Went to church. Watched an awesome bowhunting turkey hunting show on OLN.
On Friday, around 6 PM, my wife and I were returning home when I saw a guy trying to make an emergency repair on his car. I turned around and asked if he needed help. He said his muffler had come apart and asked if I had any wire. Luckily, I had some speaker wire in the trunk. He used the wire to make the repair and we stayed with him until he was on his way. He thanked us and I felt good knowing I was able to be of some assistance.

buddy here in Ohio we try to carry baler wire with us all the time, but with the farmers going to twine and those big round bales with the poly wrap it is getting hard to find these days.

I drove 5.5 hours to bring my sister a little puppy as a birthday present. I generally don't do good things so I had to give myself a pat on the back on this rare occassion!

Saturday afternoon was spent at the house relaxing. The evening consisted of the 50th anniversary of the corvette show (over 10K corvettes in Nashville this weekend), listening to a friend play downtown, and then a bonfire in the woods of Mt. Juliet where we listened to yet another band.
Sunday, after Mass, I played soccer for 2 hours in the afternoon. Later that evening the misses and I went to a friends house for dinner.
Good weekend.

Went to the county fair and saw 'Harley" the worlds largest pig. And saw enough white trash to overflow a landfill on the moon.

Just needed to hand out tic tacs or dentyne to all the PWT in an effort to avoid cavities from the cotton candy...think of the children.

My weekend was great.
Friday Gibbs and I went to an all u can eat crabs and all u can drink (where were u Tara??)for three hours and then hit up a bar for a little and then went midnight bowling. Saturday I went to AC for the first time and had a real good time. My b/f and I put our money together and gambled together and came out a winner. We came home went swimming and then woke up the next morning and swam again. Sunday I had a 21/welcome home party for my friend Tim. It started at 4 and went till 8 and then we went to Chickies and The Sheffield. Very glad at the turn out of my weekend. Fun, fun, fun!!

my weekend wasn't much:
fri. evening we went to the great indoors to look at bathroom sinks. we are in the remodeling stage. we are changing our kitchen, family room, & downstairs bathroom all at the same time. boy, remodeling sucks & expensive.
sat. afternoon swam some laps in the pool & sat. nite we went out to dinner with 20 other people at a famous restaurant in phoenix. my wife ordered one of the specials (no price listed), rack of lamb. later we found out that the lamb cost $35, which i found to be totally ridiculous. needless to say we wont be going back.
sun. we went to a friend's house for dinner, which was alot cheaper.

Went an visited a old friend at the vet home about 50 miles away. Thats good. But when you see the shape the hospital's in. Thats Sad. My Mother needed some milk and few other things. Stop at go those for her. Took two of my 5 grandchildren swimming. I watch they swim. Took my oldest, thats my son to a baseball game. Semi Pro very good entertainment. Cut the lawn. Took wife out to eat Sunday night. Most my weekends in the summer go like this. I love our 8 months of no winter. I go like hell. Because those other 4 months things slow down.

AR- you gotta love it when they don't give the prices while reciting the specials. Kind of a 'trust us' vibe. Most of the time the price makes sense but that's happened to me a few times also where they really stick it to you knowing that you look like an ass if you complain after the fact...lol
