Sheets went out w/ style, throwing 94-95 mph fastballs and 1 at 96 -- his last pitch, to strike out McCutchen on 3 pitches

Sheets struck out 2 of 3 batter he faced in 1 inning -- plan was to go 2, so must've been hurting a little bit.

Was it their plan to leave him off the playoff roster?

Yeah it was.

He has not had a start in over 40 days and they let him get the start today, throw an inning and then call it a career.

Sheets will always be one of my favorite pitchers to watch.

He was flat out dominant back in his Brewers days.

I agree he was dominant for a decent amount of his starts BUT he was never reliable. EVERY single year he was hurt and out for a good amount of time....Great pitcher overall tho :)

Thar run he had with C.C. for the Crew.. Too bad they couldn't get it done..

Brewers Pen was so brutal, if they would of been just half as good in the late innings, they would of made a wild card easily..

Lot's of ifs in MLB though

Yeah couldn't agree with ya more. Starting pitching can be great but your pen sucks and your in trouble.
