Gary:
You are right. I am being way to hard on our Commander in Chief. I have no doubt that the past four days he has been busy in the White House doing his duties as president to make sure that the fine people of Louisianna are taken care of properly.
I know that it was with great personal sacrifice that he stuck by his desk in the oval office, working away 10, 12, 14, 16, ney 18 hours a day, without sleep, food, golf or water, constantly monitoriing the weather channel to keep up with the progress of Gustav. Sitting there with his flight suit on ready to fly at a moments notice to the Gulf Coast to assist in whatever way he could. All this time, he could have been with his ma, pa, Laura, Jesus and the rest of his supporters in Minneapolis.
Right outside the White House a helicopter was waiting to take the President to Andrews Air Force Base where an Alabama National Guard jet (like the ones he used to fly) was fueled up and ready to take off in case he was needed to help rescue anyone or seed the hurricane. A true American hero, George Bush. Mission Accomplished George.
God Bless You and God Bless America.
