Just a crazy thought....I had Mich St + the 2tds and a hook, so no axe to grind.

Ohio State's play calling was absolutely atrocious, period. I watched that entire game shaking my head.

Players are openly saying they were asking for better plays and did not get them.

You're right, the play calling was atrocious. But you could damn near call a QB sneak on every play and get more than 130 yards and 5 first downs in the game! AND.....this from a team with almost, exactly the same players that destroyed Wisconsin in the championship game and ran all over Alabama and Oregon last year! The same damn players!! They are playing at home, in front of a record crowd, with I don't know how many future NFL players and they get 130 yards and 5 first downs!! Not to take anything away from Michigan State, they played an inspired and tough football game, but they had like the 46th ranked defense in the country. It's not like their defense was rated #1 this year, but Ohio State sure made them look good. On top of that, MSU's (NFL #1 draft choice) starting QB Cook, didn't even play!

Again, no doubt the play calling was really bad. But to get your ass kicked like that, there is something else in play here. I think a large part of it's because for almost a year, the OSU players have been reading their press clippings on how good they are and the effort just hasn't been the same. I thought maybe they would step up their game against better competition, but boy was I wrong!

Ohio State has looked like garbage the whole season. They have been doing just enough to get by. This was the case with FSU last season, and the REAL reason is that you have a team loaded with NFL prospects who are more concerned with protecting their future $$$ than going all out and playing hard every down. FSU was the most talented team in the country last year but didn't play like it (with Ohio State and Alabama close, but with younger talent).

That's why it looks like Ohio State "threw" that game.

Never said I hated Meyers, loved him after cashing my MSU ticket yesterday.
My brother lives in Gainesville and several years ago told me the local Florida U. scuttlebutt for what it is worth...could have been sour grapes, we will never know.

One of the most absurd posts I have read on here, and that is saying something. Best part is not remembering Ohio St. played Bama last year and absolutely destroyed them. They turned the ball over 4 times in the first half and still kicked the living crap out of that Bama team which is no better than this team. Any other team with Bama's players and resume this year is ranked around #10. Nothing impressive, will meet the same fate as last year if they face a team that can stop the run.
