no, your rite. Vegas not only knows who everybody will bet, they also know who will cover. Its a giant conspiracy.

i think it is all fixed too. too many times the end of the game is always around the line. anything that involves that much money has to veiwed in a different aspect. i dont' know if all games are fixed because its sure hard to have someone make a three pointer with no time left for a win all the time. perhaps they just get it close and then whatever happens happens.........to answer the question on why u would still bet if the games were fixed.....there are a couple of reasons i would guess
gambling is very addictive and people can't help but to continue to do so.
u can still cap games......research and trends and analysis and think you have an edge and are picking the right team.
and there is that hope of winning every game even and picking "the mafia" side. its all a guess anyway

My point is that the people who create the line have no vested interest in whomever wins against the point spread. The sports books dont even know which teams win or lose .. only thing they care about is the bottom line [credits -debits], fans only care about who wins the game. So who cares about the point spread, only gamblers thats who. If you are a serious gambler/investor all you should care about is making $$ not who wins each game. It is a v e r y l on g r a c e.
