had a heart attack watching "The Passion of the Christ"?

Man, I'm not sure I'm gonna go to that flick. I'm sure I won't have a heart attack but I would imagine a few boxes of Kleenex will be in order.

Tragic. :(

I heard that as well. It was the guy that's playing Jesus that got struck.

Man, my ass would have been down off that sucker in a heartbeat. I'd a been shouting, "Send in the double!"

I'm not a rocket scientist but I believe that might have been a hint?

a paragraph from CNN.com

"At a screening in Wichita, Kansas, a woman in her 50s began having trouble breathing toward the end of the movie and later died, a theater official said. "

I read an review in New York's Newsday on this movie, and they just attacked it saying it was pretty much 2 hours, 7 minutes of attacking Jews and that Gibson goes out of his way to make Jews look bad. I don't plan on seeing it, but I'd be interested to hear what some of you who do think about it.

I just got back from seeing The PASSION,
...and you know what, I'm not even going to talk about it. Too many people on this board will make it difficult.

I will say one thing, it was a difficult movie to watch. Many eldery people around me were crying throughout most of it.

I recommend "The Gospel of John", same story, less excruciating. It's out on DVD now.

Three things you don't discuss with people. Race, religion and politics.

Won't comment on the content of the movie.... Saw it Monday night in a church pre-screening buy-out.....

The article/interview in Newsweek two weeks ago confirmed that Caveizel was struck by lighting during the filming. On top of that, I think he fought hypothermia caused by hanging on that cross in that canyon in below 40 temps with nothing but a loin-cloth on.
Worst however, was the fact that he took a whip in the back (twice if I'm not mistaken) below the board they'd installed on his back to take the blows. He said it split him wide-open, and he should carry scars for a long time because of it. I'd say he earned his money shooting that film.

how could you not hear about it when it was the top story everywhere in the country today? Anthing to bring down the movie. Pathetic. I'm sure there are folks dying by chance in the movie theatres every day around the country. People die sometimes. Sad but true. I guess the family will be suing now for wrongful death.

I posted 2 days ago pal. At that time it had just come out. Sounds like you're a couple of days behind huh?

no, you really only posted 27 hours before I did (got in late or would have posted earlier) and this story was the biggest in the news on Wed night and all day THursday. Wasn't attacking you by any means, just thought the coverage of that story was way overboard. I don't watch the news in general, and I saw/heard about it 4 or 5 times on Thursday. gl.
