Digital Cable TV Descrambler Filters?

no.....wont help with premium channels, b/c you have to call them into the cable company

I have been reading horror stories online about these filters. They claim that the memory in your box will retain the information of the PPV's that you watch. As the chatter online continues they are saying that there is no way to erase this information and that once the memory is full the box will stop working. When you call for service the cable company will know how many PPV's you watched and will charge you, or ban you.
Since I don't know what I am talking about does anyone have any info on this?

hmm can you post where u read this?
As far as I understand it, w/o the box when you order PPV with your remote, it displays the movie for you and sends the signal to the company to bill you. Well these filters intercept these signals, and the cable company never receives. Doesnt make much sense what you posted, I would like to read about it.....

ok, i talked to someone who has sold over 400 of these, he said that out of those 400 he has received 2 complaints about this. And those 2 people told the cable company that they never ordered anything and they were not charged. He said everyone else has been fine....

I just received my filter in the mail but before I try using it I wanted to ask njsf25g one more question.

Do i need to buy a separate filter for each tv set in the house before i try using it or am I fine with the one that I just got. Thanks in advance for an answer

the filter connects from the cable to the box and only works on that box....so if you want to order something on a second box you have you would need another filter
