Where it is real F ing COLD
FUK DIRCETV...

I had cable and gave them the boot when Comcast come in our area and raised the rates. So I went with Directv. Well evrytime it rains or is real cloudy it goes out and searches for signal. I have had it 3 months and it has gone out 13 times until it stopped raining or the clouds passed by. It is just plain shit. I get on the phone with them today after a drizzle and now they bring it to my attention that even clouds can cause it loose signal. Directv never said anything about this at the intial setup. I even asked them about how often it goes out prior to the setup and was told that the only time it will go out from weather is if you should go to the basement to take cover.

IF you have kids out of school and have to be in the house from a rain or you don't want to miss any action in a game, THEN DON'T GET DIRECTV. It is the worst crap out there if you have to deal with any weather. I don't want to even think about what it will be like in the winter here in Illinois.

My advice get something else.

Just one thing to add, when I had my DirecTV and it went out of alignment, I was able to get them to come out to my house and fix the alignment free of charge. As long as you have been with them for a year or two, just say that you aren't able to watch tv and are considering switching to cable/fios/dish network. They'll be there in no time to keep you as a customer.

Oh, and one thing that helps immensely: being polite on the phone. It works wonders in getting them to take care of the problem!
