Would be nice to see one of the recent visitors today but it is footsball Saturday. Here at Philly it's Dirt Bag Saturday as usual; this track runs better horses and cards on Monday and Tues than Sat. Kinda strange. Good news is that the dirt bags pay just as well as the real race horses. Here goes -
2nd race: Tough, tough race to figure out. The two that will prob. be first and second choices look very tough but so do two of the middle priced hosses. UGH! And MUCH worser (for me, anyways) is that I give the longest shot in the race a good chance, considering the odds on it. DAMN!
Sorry, I got it down to either a No Play or .... ..
Exotic choices are (1) two trifecta boxes - 1-5-6 AND 1-6-8 OR (2) exacta choices are 6,8 top/bot w. 1,2,5. The "for certain bet" is for risk takers - no. 8, Lemon Zing to W/Pl/Sh@2x. Don't need to put much down for that no. 8 cause it's odds should be excellent. I still haven't decided which exotic option I'm gonna choose.
4th: Gave it a go. FORGET IT. Throw a dart or better yet, skip it.
6th race: Well, well, well look whose entered in this one. I went out on a limb and picked this horse last week at big odds and have identical comments for today's race that I had for Harry last week,"The favorite looks mighty tough, but I think Uncle Harry may have something to say about that in this race". Got a bunch of exactas for this one - 5,6 top/bot. with 2,3,6,10,11.
Not forgetting about Uncle Harry... . .W/Pl/Show@2x on him, no.5. He doesn't show much and was scratched last week when I liked him but my main reasons for liking him is that the last race he ran shows some hidden signs of a WAKE UP (oh yeah, they're hidden alright LOL) and I also like his last workout that helps to substantiate that last race. My pace figures say that, on his good day, he could win this race. Still - it's an outside chance that I'm willing to take today. Could just play him accross the board and save some moola, but I do want to take a shot at nailing a nice exacta with good ole Harry in it. I think just wheeling him top/bot is too risky and costly.
7th race: no. 7 top/bot with 2,3,6 that's all.
9th race: Only leaning right now on no. 9.
Good luck today.
