Hey fellas,

So I'm playing in a 10+1 limit hold 'em tourny on party poker. It started with around 1100 players. There were a little less than 400 people left and I was the chip leader with a pretty big stack. For some reason I get a message that the tournament will end due to 'technical difficulties'. So what did Party do? Refund my buy-in plus 5 FAWKING DOLLARS. I know being chip leader isn't everything but in a tournament it's very impt. and I likely would have made it deep with the power of the stack...not saying it's a given, but it was probable. This cost me a chance at several grand, and I get a 5 dollar refund for 2 hours of my life???

Does anyone else find this ridiculous? Is this a common thing? WTF!!! :cursin: :cursin:

I am sorry to say I also have been playing when that message occurs and it is clearly stated in the rules at the site that is how they do it

Happened to me a month and a half ago. Was in 2 tournys at once, one started the other hadnt. Was refunded $ from the live tourny and not the one that hadnt. I called, emailed and they keep delaying the refund saying it needed to be done manually should take a few days............well 2 weeks later after many calls and email they tell me it was refunded 2 weeks earlier............Bunch of BS, never got my funds back

I thought protocall was to divide the money among those that were left in the tourney based on percentage of chips? Thats how Paradise did it once. Apparently thats not what they did here.

It turns out they did, but they allocate something like 50% of the pool to everyone, then split the remaining amount according to chip count. And I think the grand party contributed was conveniently taken out of that pool :) I guess w/ everyone getting a piece it's what cut it.
