Disfiguring what God gave you

After reading the Idol Thread, and all the discussion on tats, it got me to thinking:

What are "acceptable" ways to disfigure your body - at least in the eye's of MadJack Members.

Here are your choices (you CAN choose more than 1):

1. Large Tatoos - small bikini type by chicks don't count here - neither do "tramp stamps" (the tatoo that all 20 year old women put right above their crack) - here I'm talking about a whole body part - like the whole back, or a whole arm (like the chick on Idol)

2. Piercings - not talking about ears here, nor the farily common belly button. This category would include nipples, eyebrows, nose, lips and chin. Yes, and also "downtown".

3. Inserts - I don't know what else to call these - the large ring shaped items that young people are putting in their ear lobes to look like African Men - rings so large that they qualify as a small pancake...

4. Sex Change - changing from male to female and vice versa - changing the parts God gave you to the other gender.....

All of the above are disfiguring - so, here's a poll - which ones do MJ'ers feel are in good taste and reasonable. Keep in mind the criteria listed above for each category - and for kicks, when/if you post, put your age - I'm curious if this is an old person/young person thing.....


Personally, I don't see a lot of difference in any of these categories - OK, #4 is a lot worse than 1-3..... but I'm not a fan of any of them....

and she still looks clean and edible. same thing on rosie odonnel (sp?) and i puke. :shrug:

i like the tats on the small of a woman's back as long as it's small and she's attractive.

nothing wrong with a small eye brow or small nose piercing either.

Acceptable things to do to one's own body are a personal choice, I wouldnt be arrogant enough to judge or tell someone what they can & can not do to themselves. Its their life, their body, their choice.

Personally, I dont mind #1 or #2. I am not a fan of #3 & find #4 disturbing, but that is just for me.

Offensive is a strong word, but I don't like any of the first 3 and don't like looking at them., especially on women.

I can't understand why anyone would be offended by a tattoo or piercing. Would you find a comb over or an Afro offensive? What business is it unless it affects you? I'm offended by people walking around with T Shirts with the "f" word and the like, but if they want some people to perceive who they are based on that, it is their problem, not mine. And if there is a God, don't you think there are far more things that would offend him than a tattoo or piercing? It's a matter of personal choice. We still have a few things we can do here without government intervention.

none of that shit bothers me at all and I could care less what someone does to their own body. I have eight tattoos and had my ear pierced twice when I was a might younger but it isn't really a question as to what I approve of........ If you're asking if it would scare me off or I would think less of someone because they had a bone in their nose then none of the above. Live and let live brother.

I couldn't care if the damn pope had a tramp stamp and a heroine addiction because it doesn't affect me. It it his or her body. If the entire unkonwn Vampire population of the world started sucking bluberry sauce rather than blood then guess what........wouldn't care. I don't see what the problem is though.
