I think it's well known that I'm a Yankees fan. I was told they won't have a problem at all going all the way this year. But.......I think it's going to be a little harder than everyone thinks. I don't mind the Red Flops (I mean Red Sox) and I actually would love to see them go far and face NY, Pete here at BHB would love to see that as well, but he even said it's going to be difficult for Boston. Either way, there are no other two teams I love watching more than NY facing Boston, Fenway or Yankee Stadium.

justin,

i'm sorry to say that the yankees are not going too far in the playoffs.

two of their best starters are in their 40's & one is hurt(wells) & the other could break down any minute.

their bullpen is pretty bad. they have a guy who is 46 years old, & another(hitchcock) who is simply awful, & yet another guy who throws complete junk up there for the hitters to feast on.

they have an unbalanced line-up, with alot of dead bats at the bottom of the order. they are lacking the same patience at the plate as their championship teams had.

i won't even go into the panic that sets in with this organization whenever they lose a few games, or whenever boston makes a deal.

i think oakland, seattle, & boston are better than the yanks & wouldn't even be surprised if the yanks don't make the playoffs.
