If your asking about sin-i do plenty of it - and always will- as far as gambling i file taxes on my winnings every year-alot of the things in the Bible can be out of line depending on what you believe- as far as giving i give 20-30% of my income to many charities including church -its all about what you believe i could say what you say is crap but i wont because you have right to believe what you want so do i-
Fair enough Thunder. I'm not looking for a pissing match either. I WILL believe what I want to believe AND I don't have a problem with what you choose to believe.
I don't have a problem with anything that anyone believes. Just don't go pushing your stuff on me......that's when I get fired up. Religion is a very personal thing. What you believe is what you believe. Nobody has the right to tell you otherwise.....and nobody has the right to make you feel shitty for believing what you believe.
One ends up wasting a good portion of their life and one doesn't. You can't discount it. It isn't an oh well type of thing. What a collasal waste waste of time and life if you are wrong or if you were trained to love the wrong deity.
According to the bible, it is my understanding that God is no respecter of persons. Makes no difference who you are...ruler of an earthly kingdom, MLB home run king or Cincinnati attorney. It also makes no difference what you've done...recipient of the Nobel Peace Prize or risked your life in a burning building to rescue a basket full of babies. Makes not one bit of difference. It is a non-factor. The bible says, "All have sinned and come short of the glory of God."
According to scripture, the issue is sin. God hates it.
I truly believe the Hebrews had it right...THE ISSUE IS SIN IN THE SIGHT OF A HOLY GOD.
If God hates sin and is no respecter of persons, then it only stands to reason we are all deserving of hell and there is nothing anyone can do or say to rectify the situation.
As much as God hates sin, He still loves the sinner and it is His will than none should perish.
I think this is the reason for the most popular verse in the bible....John 3:16 ~
" For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life."
According to the above verse, God offers mankind a solution to his terrifying predicament....."he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him...."
This is God's means of salvation.
His Son.
Jesus Christ The Righteous.
So I want to go to heaven when I die. Heaven is God's home.
But there's a problem. God has a standard.
He doesn't allow just anyone to enter His home just as I won't allow just anyone to enter mine.
Evidently, there is a condition....
God wants to know one thing and one thing only...have you accepted His son as your redeemer?
Jesus is the means of salvation. Accepting Jesus as one's Lord and Savior is the only means of entrance into heaven.
John 14:6 ~ "Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.
Living a good life won't get us into heaven. We can never be good enough. We need the imputed righteousness of one who lived a spotless, sinless life...

now thats tolerance- that waste of time goes both ways-your right it cant be discounted
i agree so if some one mocks and laughs at your spiritual beliefs -are not they pushing there views on you -
