I join planet fitness after hip replacement , looking to finish last goal ... bench press 200 pounds 10 times. other two goals were after replacement to get back under 90 on the golf course and hike 6 miles both out of the way... i like planet fitness clean and cheap ..... only 20 bucks a month .... go for it ..

That's probably what I'll do. There are a few in my area, seems like the way to go. Treadmill and Elliptical cardio seem to agree with me. :SIB

I pay $10 at Planet Fitness but only can go to 1 club. When I go to Puerto Rico fer the winter i switch to the club down there.

I have been with anytime fitness for 4-5 years, but I just bought this elliptical from my neighbor when he moved a few blocks away. It was only a couple of months old, but he realized that he preferred gym to working out at home. His loss was my gain. This thing is great. Still haven't cancelled anytime fitness, but that's on my list for next week

I was just a treadmill guy for the longest time. Once I got used to the elliptical I found it the way to go. My thighs killed at first. :0074

I have grown stiff in my early 40s. My ankles and knees hurt routinely after running, basketball, etc. the elliptical eliminates stress on my joints. I freaking love it

Yes

Yes

I have been with LA Fitness for the last 15 years. Before that, I was with a gym called 24 hour fitness for 2 years. Before that, I was in college and used the UNL rec center. Before that I was with Prairie Life Center for 2-3 years. Before that I went to Golds Gym for about 2 years. Got my first job at a gym at age 15. I guess I have always been sort of a gym rat. At one point, I got 2nd place at the state weightlifting competition for the benchpress and lifted 330 lbs, that was when I was 17 or 18. Really liked doing that because the proceeds that year went to man needing a heart transplant. Everyone still got trophies. I don't lift as heavy as I used to, but still run frequently and do some circuit and free weight lifting.

Though I don't agree

No I didn't take anything the wrong way. I just tend to notice your posts don't seem to be very coherent late at night.

We have a planet fitness about 20 miles from here and I would love to join but can't justify running that far away. We have a place called "extreme fitness" two blocks away but it's a popularity contest and all the snooty falooties go there. I have a dreadmill in the basement. I just got a new Fitbit Charge HR and got my daughter the same one for xmas. She will then give her Fitbit Flex to my son and then we are going to start having step competitions. I'm hoping that will jump start my ambition. I ran the Turkey Trot in 32.46 the other day which was my norm and I think thats decent for not running since July so I can't complain. Getting ready to head to my 20th class reunion tonight. Hard to fathom.
