General John Sevier

"Famous" - at least in TN

John Sevier

My oldest son is named Sevier for the lineage.

John Sevier was my wife's 5-Great Grandfather.

Not family, but I am great friends with John Wilcox who was a PBA member back in the 70's
I didn't take up the sport of bowling until I was 27 years old. It just so happens John owned the local house and I became really good friends with him. Everything I've ever accomplished in the sport, all the credit goes to him. The first year I bowled, I averaged 173 and shot my first 600 the last night of the league. The second season, was in the 190's. I haven't been under a duece thereafter and have 5 300's and one 800 series.
John is 65 years old now... but when he shoes it up...look the fuck out! The man can still play and is the best trash talker ever! (Especially in the beer frame!) Nole and Jr11 will appreciate this. Some of the old stories he tells are priceless.
He has a pretty good golf game to boot.

Found out a few years ago I have a half brother named Cory Bradford who played college basketball for Illinois from '98-'02. He set the NCAA record for consecutive games with a three-point field goal at 88 games before the streak was snapped on Feb. 13, 2001 against Wisconsin. Now he plays professionally overseas in the Middle East. We've never met but have talked on phone several times and message on Facebook. Plan on meeting sometime next year when he is state-side.

I remember when he made the game winning bucket against IU in the B1G basketball tournament. I was cussing him like a sailor. Little did I know then he was my brother!
