I remember calling for lines and deciding which team I should say first to trick the bookie into not knowing which side I wanted.
i had a simple solution to that... i always said the fav. eventually i bet so many damn games, we decided it was easier for him to run through the entire card. even for college football.

i remember buying Winning Points from Coulson's Newsstand. Good times.

like most of us, i had my fling with the pay services. i'll never forget the night the guy told me to bet the atlanta hawks. he implied that the game was fixed by the mafia. this was when every hawks game was on TBS. i got home from work midway through the first quarter. atlanta already had a decent lead, and they went on to win by 40. i thought i'd stumbled upon a gold mine. THESE GUYS KNOW WHO THE MAFIA HAS!! only took a couple more weeks to realize they were as full of shit as anyone else.
