The Jays played the Keystone Kops yesterday (Hill blown dbl play in 3rd, McDonald had a rare liner go thru him in the 7th, and Juan Rivera botched a fly ball to left in the 9th) to give away a Romero start to the Phils. That likely won't repeat, and we have to say that Carlos Villanueva may be one of this season?s most pleasant surprises for the Jays, But he is a contact type pitcher facing a lineup that strikes out the fewest in the NL.
And Doc is Doc and will give it everything he has today, as always and maybe more so. He took his standing o's yesterday by taking out the lineup card and so on. He has his game face on today and will only talk to the press after this game.
Also, the Phils are hot and Jays are not, relatively speaking. Except they gave away that game yesterday and will be playing tough vs Halladay. And the line is suspiciously low for a Halladay start with an expected World Series contending team.
Screw it, it's baseball and I'm taking the counter intuitive play (like the Phils yesterday) and going Jays today. And only half cheering for Halladay, maybe the best, classiest athlete ever to pass thru Toronto. Small play as usual, for now.

Good Luck All and Happy Long Weekend! :toast:
