SAN FRANCISCO GIANTS -140 - I am carrying over my selection from Saturday, which was rained out. I normally would not like laying this much chalk vs. Kevin Brown, but his stamina is questionable right now, and the Giants are hitting on all cylinders. San Francisco is off to a 10-1 start, and they are averaging 6 runs per game and hitting .284 vs. right-handed pitching. Jason Schmidt has pitched well in both of his starts so far, both Giants victories, allowing only 2 earned runs and 11 hits in 13.1 innings. He is backed by a stellar Giants bullpen that has been superb to this point, despite being without their closer Rob Nen. Brown had trouble going more than 6 innings after coming back from his injury last year, and that pattern has continued this season. He was lifted after 6 innings in his first start, and then tired in the 7th inning of his last start, surrendering 3 hits including a home run in the 7th after allowing only 2 hits in the first 6 innings. He did not fare well in 2 starts vs. the Giants last season, going 0-2 while allowing 12 earned runs and 15 hits in only 9 innings.
