DODGERS/REDS Under 8.5 +105 ? Nomo is pitching some of the best ball in the NL over the last 6 weeks or so. Granted, he is coming off of his worst outing during that span, allowing 5 runs and 9 hits in 7 innings at San Francisco. However, he was staked to an 8-2 lead by the 2nd inning of that game, so he could be excused for grooving some pitches the rest of the way rather than putting people on via the walk. In his previous 7 starts, all Quality Starts, he pitched to a 1.85 ERA and a magnificent 0.82 WHIP, incredibly allowing only 30 hits in 48.2 innings! He also pitched well in his only start vs. the Reds this year, allowing 3 earned runs on just 4 hits with 10 strikeouts in 8 innings. Moehler has not disgraced himself coming back from over a year?s layoff, posting a 3.28 ERA in his first 4 starts so far, with his teams winning 3 of those starts. Also, both of these bullpens have been very solid for the most part this year, which also helps the Under?s cause.
