What will the line be on WINGS SWEEPING the 'Canes ???
Just wondering what (if anyone can make a logical guess ) you think the number might be ??
I am guessing something like -Lay 12 to 10 on a sweep. Wings will be , I think about 8 .5 to 1 to win the series. Just my thought... Anyone else care to give it a whirl ????I think the 9 to 1 or so would be 'close' , but the sweep, I'm not too sure about...
Man, are they in for some LOW ratings !!!!!

Series price at Oly is Det -750/+550.

Can't see it going any way but Detroit. That said, call me nuts. But I like Carolina's chances in Gm1(+250). Best chance for Canes to steal a game imho.

They catch the Wings off a very intense series. And I think it will take at least a little while to re-adjust their emotions. They just slayed the dragon. And the L30 minutes of Gm7 were played at less than 100% speed vs a deflated Avs club. Think it will take a few shifts to adjust to a disciplined Canes club. I don't see the Wings playing a focused 60 minutes in Gm1.

dont see this red wings team full of veterans, and the dominator not being focused after knockin of colo. they get a few days rest and are back at it tues night at THE JOE.

Canes have won their cup just getting here,see them completely flat games 1 and 2 . Wings better at every position,play 4 full lines,and are just too good..
Playing the sweep at + $330, might be wrong, but it is a play a person HAS TO MAKE if you are serious about making some cash on a number I feel is very kind. This ,to me ,is a spot where you have to make a large bet( or at least I know a few people whom are). It IS THE CORRECT BET TO MAKE.
I give Canes ALOT of credit, BUT, the party is over...WINGS in 4.... Spanky........

I have some mixed feelings on this. First off, I don't think this is a play a person HAS TO MAKE if they are serious about making money. I'm serious about making money, and I don't think it's a play that has to be made. With that said, yes, I think for its price it might be something to think about to drop some change on...but not a large amount.

Asking a team to sweep is asking a lot. Hockey can be a game that comes down to bounces this way or that...things have to align perfectly for Detroit to sweep in 4 games. The Hurricanes are a great road team. I don't see them winning game 1 because I feel the long layoff will hurt them. As far as Irbe seeing a lot of rubber, I don't see why it will be any more than any other series. Did you not see how they shut down Toronto? Wasn't Toronto one of the highest scoring/shooting team in the NHL. Yes, they were injured some, but some people still refuse to give Carolina's defense respect. They are big, they are physical, and they will clutch and grab to try and slow Detroit down. Irbe is red hot, his save % is ridiculous. This isn't a fluke that the Hurricanes made it this far.

The main reason why Carolina doesn't have a good chance to win on paper is their lack of scoring. Their offense struggled bigtime against Toronto. But at the same time, Detroit's big guns haven't been hitting the back of the net lately (minus game 7). I read so many peope that picked the Devils to sweep, then picked Montreal win in 4 or 5, etc etc. I guess it's a good thing, the Hurricanes like playing in this position. I just hope at least the Detroit players give them a little more respect.
