In the latter half of the regular season I figured out a way to make a guaranteed profit on close games. Simply bet on the +$$$ ML. For example, take today's game between the NEW YORK GIANTS & ATLANTA FALCONS.

-Every time the Giants are looking bad (ie: after the safety) I will bet the Giants if they are getting +$. The same applies to the Falcons. Here's my bets so far.

Falcons win game +110
30.00 to win 33.00

Giants wins game +120
30.00 to win 36.00

Giants wins game +113
20.00 to win 22.60

Falcons wins game +165
20.00 to win 33.00

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
TOTAL WAGERED:

FALCONS WIN GAME
$50.00 to win $66.00

GIANTS WIN GAME
$50.00 to win $58.60

:00hour *** GUARANTEED $$$ *** :00hour

I call it reducing the book's advantage, and I do it this way and in various others, but most people think I am crazy :mj07:

I have not however gotten rich at this

If you can't lose, then why are you not betting more than $50?

Well the key is to make sure there continues to be lead changes. If that doesn't happen then you can easily lose money. If I bet atlanta right now at over +200 for $50 and they don't take the lead in the 2H, then I would end up taking a loss on the game.

Make sense?

I'm with him...why not bet 1000 each side???

So. Cal
so if the giants win you're gonna win $8.60

can your bank accept that kind of large deposit???

as someone pointed out, sounds good in theory but it's dependent on multilpe scoring changes

I understand what you are doing and it makes sense, but it's not "guaranteed money."

As you stated, making money is dependent upon there being multiple lead changes, so in reality you're just making a series of prop bets that there will be a lead change (or some other big momentum-changing play).

I occasionally do some similar things, but in my opinion the better way to make money (though the situation is rarer) is to have a dog with the points and then when they get out to a lead you take the fave on the ML and now you've covered your bet and given yourself a nice middle.
