I cannot watch the game, but looking at the play-by-play on ESPN, it looks like they should have attempted two field goals but had an incomplete pass on one and fumble by Van Pelt on the other.

kicker is abover avg--but not from over 50 yds. i have watched csu enough to know that fake fg was coming
