Does Dallas really want the #1 Seed?

Big game tonight for Dallas if SA gets beat by Orlando, slim chance for this to happen IMO>
But do they really want the #1 seed?
Dallas will have to play SA either way if they both win in the first round. For Dallas, they have the choice playing their but off the last few game or
calling it quits for the rest of the season and get a long needed rest.
Dallas really doesn't have anything to play for if SA wins. Phoinex on the other hand want to make a statment after their poor play the last couple of week. I just saw that the Pho line got hit down to 2. If SA loses, the line will probably go down even more.
There is where the question comes about, IF SA
loses, Dallas can play hard the rest of the year and
still not get the #1 seed. Which IMO would be a
mistake considering they have had so many injuries
here lately.
. If they call it quits, they have a big choice come the last game of the regular season, If Mem and LAC are tied, which team would they rather play?
I would have to bet on LAC if it comes down to that. Tonight I will play Phoenix -2

Yeah, but top seed will get home court in that match-up...reasonably important I would have thought.

another interesting look at it suggests that maybe dallas would rather be in the 5 spot anyway. besides not having homecourt in the 2nd round, there really may be an advantage to playing the clippers or grizzlies in the 1st round then playing the kings. the kings are dangerous and both dallas and san antonio are good road teams. they have each proven they can win in the others building. just another way of looking at it. I am not saying the mavs are going to pack it in for the rest of the year, but with their injuries and difficult finishing schedule...?????? :shrug: :shrug:
