A buddy of mine is well off and started to wager on sports around the football playoff season. Now he wagers on every game including sides and totals. So he is running about 40 wagers per day.Anywhere from $200 to a dime a piece. Average of $500 per play. He is going through a local and is just getting his ass kicked. I have urged him to quit or just take a couple games or even buy a service such as Lock club. Anything is better than what he is doing now. He says screw that I am not buying a service, I will do it on my own. He wants to bet EVERY game. He doesn't even bother to see who is pitching when he wagers. He gets the line randomly goes down the list?? I would like to eat all of his bets because I am sick of the bookie raking in all the cash.. Problem is that if he does hit a good week, he will be hitting for about 20K.

Should I just start nibbling off the top and build a bankroll? Bad thing is, is that I hate this bookie and root for my friend to win, but money is money and I can't get him to quit. What would you do?

I got a good size roll stashed away, if he WANTS TO BET EVERY GAME, shoot me an email......he can be my first client, THERES NO WAY IN HE!! YOU CAN BET EVERYGAME EVERYDAY AND PROSPER, may hit me hard one week but 2 weeks later he'll be giving it back!!!!!! I know a guy like that also, has over $150k in his bankroll and just bets to be betting, lost 20k lastweek alone, plays BIG ML FAVS and when they win he gets minimal payouts but when they lose, he loses a CHIT load of money.....get your friend some help

Well, I dont know yourself or the GUY, but unless he gives you upfront cash...millionaire or not, I wouldnt call anyones bets in under my account!!! Regardless of his bankroll, if something was to happen you are on the hook for this guys losses, and the amounts of his bets plus the action involved I wouldnt be able to sleep if my account was down say....25-30k, the guy I know is far from a millionaire but some 30 yr old spoiled brat with a betting roll of about 150k.....and he is under his own account with my local, if he screws up and cant or doesnt want to ante up....his pegged NOT ME!!!! If the guy doesnt want his name down fine, use a number system but I am quite sure the book doesnt care who he is or what he does as long as the account is settled at weeks end. Set up a 1 time meet,eat, and greet to familiarize everyone and you are left with only your own headaches...BOL and tell the guy there's plenty of CHARITIES THAT WOULD LOVE TO USE THAT MONEY WISELY RATHER THEN SENDING A FEW BOOKIES KIDS TO COLLEGE!!!

I am really not worried about this.. The Book knows what is going on here. The Book won't do anything to me if he gets stiffed. We have a mutual respect as far as that goes.

he bets every game straight, bets total straight, then parlay... then does the next gm same way... then does 4 tm parlay... and his bets are usually 400 on straights and 200 parlays

he loses about 200,000-350,000 per year... How fun is that?? :shrug:
Thats alot of $$ that could be put to better use...
After Years of doing this... making my book friends lifestyle very comfortable... he's now out of money.. and in the hole... to say their relationship is strained is fairly accurate...

and thats small bet amts compared to what your friend is doing... betting dimes probly at least 1/3 of the time... and chasing every weekend...

I dont believe he can stop right now on his own...
I do believe some systems can work w/baseball... just takes a bankroll... but... I dont think he can stick to a system...
-Less amts seem too small to a man of his wealth..
-The more bets he makes... the more he can win... its like selling 'widgets'... basic math...

Lost another 13 grand. I told him that he is done. He says he is calling the book himself or will set up an overseas account now to keep wagering. It is now out of my hands. He will not listen, or get help. Its gone too far. I never thought that he would wager like this. He started out small and now it is out of control, but now I have washed my hands with this.

This is getting disturbing....I hope this guy wakes up one day.....if he hasnt noticed he hasnt SHOWN THE BOOKS anything, if he has loads of cash and wants to show them something losing more or a little less then 13g in a day isnt the way to do so. BP you can only try to help buddy, you have and are doing your part, NO ONE can help a crack addict until they mention and realize they are an addict and not an occassional partier!!! He's destined to lose everything like this, maybe letting the cat out the bag to his old lady may do one of two things:
1) SHE CAN GET HIM UNDER CONTROL-its funny how pressure from a female can do that

2) IF SHE CANT atleast she knows and maybe SHE WILL BE WISE and leave the dude thus getting something from him via divorce and or alimony along with college funds set up for the kids, either way she must act now because sooner or later him NOR THEM will have much of anything and that would be DIASTER...to have it all and then not even be able to send your kids to college! GOOGLE LEONARD TOAST--LOST IT ALL IN Atlantic City and other outlets of gambling, used to own the Philadelphia Eagles at one time and it got so bad he once tried to sue the CASINO FOR TAKING ADVANTAGE OF HIM AS THEY FEED HIM DRINKS AND THRUSTED HIM FARTHER INTO A GAMBLING RAGE!!!! AMAZING!!! Millions and Millions gone just as your friend will do. If you are a friend you will atleast insure his wife(soon to be ex) a future as well as there kids!!!! He is beyond repair it seems like, let him go onto the darkside by himself, and NOT PULL DOWN HIS FAMILY, the ones he supposed to care the most about....any amount of monies can be lost no matter then bankroll when theres a gambling problem!!!! I don't really believe him though, but I must trust him to make the right decision when that chance comes. OK with that being said, let the guy lose his a$$ for now until his imaginary number is reached, but in the mean time instead of BOOKING some of his action.....tell the book you want a % of his WEEKLY LOSSES, he should GLADLY do so as you are giving him MAJOR ACTION, I saw 10% above posted, I wouldnt settle for LESS THEN 20%....if he wont look for another book and with the action (mostly losing) that you give them someone would gladly give you a 20% kick back.....IF you were in my neck of woods I definately could get you the kickback, I get returns on the guys I INTRODUCE to my guy much less call in and hold the figures for them, if your book is true and a WORTHY guy he should have no problems with it!!! BOL
