sounds like ur doing what u can, bleedingpurple... it's hard for me to believe that he'll stop once he reaches that "magic number" (-100K).. if u r quite close to the guy u have to distance yourself from him and maybe he'll get the picture... ALSO tell his wife/family...

He just doesnt have the discipline (or desire) it takes to be a winning sports bettor..

part of what is dangerous about this situation is that he has a solid income (money comes easily to him) AND he is already down such an ungodly amount that he will always feel "stuck" until he wins back some of that cash... meaning he'll continue to bet (and lose w/ his strategy).

GL with it. this sounds like a real disaster.

Lost another 13 grand. I told him that he is done. He says he is calling the book himself or will set up an overseas account now to keep wagering. It is now out of my hands. He will not listen, or get help. Its gone too far. I never thought that he would wager like this. He started out small and now it is out of control, but now I have washed my hands with this.

please...start posting his plays before the games start so we can all profit......i'm sure if he keeps this up, we will all gladly donate 2% of our winnings based on his picks back to a fund for his family!

Take a couple of your friends and hedge his bets lets say 25 percent and manage that when the pot grows increase the hedge, cut the friends out and then instead of the bookie getting loaded you will have your bankroll you have desired..
I struggle with Gambling but this guy really does need help, gambling can be in my opinion the most addicted vice out there

Have been gone for a while. I am not taking his bets, but the book told me that he lost 2200 last night. He is down a total of 23,000 for this week. It is tough to post his plays anyway because the book gives out the lines at 5:30 PM central time. So my friend takes 20 minutes to decide who he wants, then he calls me and then I call the book. Sometimes games are into the second inning by the time this process is done because he has so many bets. I eat a few (should of ate all). The major pain in the ass is that I have a number, the book has a number, and my buddy would have a number. Rarely does it match the way it should and then I spend about another hour the next day going over game by game with each to get the exact number. I am dead on 99% of the time. Its like working with two fukin bone heads. Can't add and subtract.

I can tell you how he has lost the most money.. He can't figure out that the Detroit Tigers suk donkey dick.. So he keeps riding them thinking that Jack Morris is back in his prime and is going to pitch them to victory. He thinks they should be much better. The lineup is old and the pitching sucks. Then he has been betting the Redsox and Yankees over the past week. Not been a very good idea. Also bet against the twins for 2000 in 7 games when they played the tigers and redsox. Twins went 6-1, I think the twins were dogs in all games, so there is about 12 grand there.

Well my buddy lost another 5 grand last week, lost 23000 the week before. He says he is really ready to kick some ass. He is going to follow a service. Don't think that it will help.
