I do know that Thermacells work, and this looks like some gigantic version of that. If so, it will work. The little thermacells work for about a 15 feet circle, so this thing should cover a yard or 2 if that's what it is.

Friend of mine bought one. Big yard with pool. He said pouring some Miller Lite in saucers around the house and pool worked a lot better.

Consumer Reports said they do indeed work. ... In the lab....

I suspect that setting it up in your yard would work the way farmers I knew used to tied up a cow in the yard to draw away all the mosquitos from the people during an outdoor BBQ---the beast attracted so many more mosquitos than normal that you got attacked just as much as before by the bloodsucking wenches (only the females of this taxa suck blood).

the cows didn't attack as they too stupid to realize that's brother on the grill


my problem here is ticks. Here's a pic I took of one of my killing bottles last week of some that died trying to get in me. Killed and preserved in alcohol now (don't worry! it's rubbing alcohol!)
