I had forgoten that the WCC ave LMU an automaic pass in 1990 after Gathers died. WHat happened was traic, but denying the other teams a chance was pretty bogus.
Certainly rooting for LMU here. One, will help stop the absurdity of the NCAA giving them a 1 or a 2 seed and giving one bracket a completely skewed outcome - like that West bracket last year with UDub.
Second - more upsets drop AM out. I still cant believe they could get in, or 5 from the MVC. It tells ou just how weak the field is this year - probably will be a record for undeserving teams getting in. Any team that misses out has absolutely zero basis for bitching.

I agree that the WCC is weak as hell and Gonzaga will be lucky to make the round of 16 but I think Morrison is awesome and will be a solid pro.
lmu guy got nailed on 2nd to last posession , no call...Morrison sucked the last 2 nights on w/a chance to shine for a national audience, he gets p[retty much held in check by 2 mediocre at teams at best and he jumps around like james taylor when he found out carly would blow him, if he is voted best player in the country that is a fukn joke, their are easily several players better than him that play against better competition, he'll fade in the NBA just like Dickau
