On a completely unrelated note, for Smurph...our family just invested in an official approved regulation game licensed Kickball. It's much larger than any I've ever kicked in my day, and we are planning on hosting a large kickball game (we had one last year) at our annual late summer parents/kids party. I will report on my expertise at handling the official ball, after trying it out. I'm expecting some real adjusting to take place...this is not my mothers kickball, after all.

Now, back to the racism, posturing, and f*cking off. :00hour

It's not a line of thinking, smurphy. Ever take a look at crime statistics? Blacks, in general, commit a disproportionate of crime.

So when you see a black person, the *rule* clicks in and you automatically calculate that this individual is 38% more likely to be a criminal than yourself? ...I mean, what is the point? Thanks for enlightening me - I'll be sure and tell my black pals that they are more likely to commit crime than me ...I mean they are black afterall. What is it kinda like wild animals? They may seem like a sweetheart for years, but underneath they could snap at any moment and revert to their statistical inclination for crime? I get it. Thanks.

Like I said, there are thousands of reasons why things are the way they CURRENTLY are. To expect instant statistical equality after 400 years of slavery and legal discrimination is ....well, at best quite naive.

Sorry, but clearly racist, ignorant people really annoy me.

No, i'm not black.

And no, I don't suffer from 'white guilt.' (trying to fend off a potential gardenweasel post)
I don't suffer politically correct, ignorant morons well, either. Pointing out facts isn't racist, you blithering idiot. Of course, your type never understands that because you're too busy throwing out the race card. You can't prove what I said to be incorrect, so you resort to the age-old "you're a racist!" chant. Priceless.

Yikes! I've never been called a 'blithering(is that how you spell it?) idiot' before!

I'm not 'politically correct' any more than anybody else.

But when it walks like a duck, talks like a duck and likely looks like a duck, it's a duck.

Know what I mean, honey?

Honestly the fact that people sit here and say they have a problem with Imus, then turn around and have no problem with it if he were to be on Satellite radio speaks volumes.

Isn't it supposed to be either right or wrong? How in the world does the forum in which it's spoken on make a difference?

My view on this issue is that people simply need to get a life. A vast majority of people who claim this "blacks suffered this, blacks suffered that," defense; didn't suffer a damn thing.

I know ALOT of black people, and I have a vast variety of friends that stends from whites, blacks, and some asians. To be honest, I'm gonna side with the guy earlier who brought up the laziness. So many blacks who suffer and don't have the same sources and economic status are in the position they are in FOR A REASON. It's not bad luck or because slavery. It's because they're too damn lazy or don't care to fix it. They see all the free shit they get for doin nothing and they enjoy it. You could say, "well the kids they have are brought up through that, blah blah blah."

Listen, I'm white, my parents are/were poor when I was growing up. I never lived in houses, we lived in apartments, douplexes, etc...

I'm only 23 years old and I've got a full time job. I've got a lady I'm gonna marry in the near future. She has a job, college education, the whole 9 yards like myself. We're gonna have a good future because of the PEOPLE we ARE and the WAYS we APPLIED ourselves. I've had 2 jobs in my lifetime, and the only reason why I left my 1st job is because of school. I worked it for almost 6 years since I was in high school. Now I've got my full time gig now that I'm out of school.

You can't fault the way a person comes up for how they're gonna turn out. When I grew up, I vowed to not live that same way. If a person is lazy, etc...It has NOTHING to do with being WHITE,BLACK,ASIAN,CANADIAN,WHATEVER...it has EVERYTHING to do with the CHOICE that person made.

At the end of the day, there's only 1 problem and 1 problem only when it comes to this.

To put it SIMPLE....

It's not the color of your skin
It's the person you are

Otherwise, there's NO EXCUSE.

Don't blame anyone for the situation/situations you're in.

Still can't dispute the veracity of the statements? That's ok. I understand that it's just easier to yell "Racist!" than to put any thought into an issue. You're no different than 95% of the rest of the population in that aspect. Now, feel free to go back to your usual juvenile self and commentary.

vegas - i'd assume she's a stripper. ...i mean that's the RULE - she'd me more inclined to be a stripper.

buffalo - i'd assume she's a 300 pound lardass - that's the statistical RULE for buffalo.

dallas - well, I guess the RULES are in fact pretty accurate. i have been proven wrong. now i just don't know what to do about the black people i know, since the RULE says they will eventually turn on me.

The statements that led to you calling me a racist. I pointed out that government statistics clearly show that blacks commit a disproportionate amount of crime. That is a fact, whether you like the implications or not.

All the social engineering in the world hasn't changed that. People, IN GENERAL, who don't VALUE education and don't VALUE work are not suddenly going to VALUE those things because you get them better teachers and more expensive computers and books. Have you ever actually been in these communities to see this for yourself? I have. I'm not telling you anything that isn't well-known. What will your excuse be in 100 years when there still isn't progress?

I agree with your post for the most part, however to totally dismiss how a person starts out, the environment they learn about life (from the beginning) in, and the initial opportunities they are provided, is not looking at the whole picture. Those who overcome truly difficult starts are the ones that should be held to high standard and should be admired, no doubt. But they simply have more to overcome and more difficulty in achieving it. To compare a poor child (of any color) to a child born into a more wealthy environment just doesn't add up. There can be no doubt (IMO) that those starting out with money around them have a better chance to succeed than those who don't. If anyone can explain to me how this is untrue, go for it. And if you can't, then therein lies the big difference.

Of course, those with money have their own issues, some of which can be quite problematic for achieving success. But I'd say on the whole, the difficulties encountered there deal with personal decisions, too, don't they?

Bottom line - who here really thinks that a baby born in the ghetto, to a single mom, has as good a chance to succeed in life as does a person born into a millionaire's home? Seriously?

Yeah, OK - because you haven't seen significant improvement in a few years means that in 100 years nothing will change.

Maybe I'm not reading you right - but are you saying that black people don't value work or education and that will never change no matter what?
