I will say in these game anything can happen but the way Texas is prepaired is terrible. Did'nt Mack Brown watch what Oklahoma did to this Wash State system in last years Rose Bowl. They act like they did'nt even know Wazzu was going to bring the heat. They have played this same agressive style defense for years. This is a disgrace for any Texas followers.

Remember, OU faced a banged up WSU squad. Their team leader, and best player, QB GESSAR (who was great college QB) played hurt. He tried hard but he was too hurt to be effective. You can also factor in WSU Head Coach accepting the head coaching job at Alabama prior to the Rose Bowl game. Believe me, that hurt the football team. OU dominated the game, but in fairness to WSU, they did not have all their weapons.

I actually agree with your thoughts on that game from last season Scott. I really liked Washington State in that game regardless but think they could have won had they been healthy.

How about giving WSU credit. I am sure Baylor would get the same pressure on the Texas QB's and the Baylor QB will play as good as Kegal. If Kegal would have played against Washington USC would be in New Orleans now playing for unanimous championship. Remember, this is suppose to be a down year for Pac 10.

Glad we agree.

Scott.......you missed my point. I would'nt care if WSU won by 50 or lost by 50, my point was that Texas was absolutely lost facing WSU's blitzing schemes. There is no excuse for that. Thats just shitty coaching.

Sure last year Gesser was hurt but OU just drilled the Wazzu defense.........with all americans Trufant and Rien Long healthly and willing for the beating they took. That defense gave up almost 400 yrds and 37 plus minutes in time of possession. So they did have all their weapons on defense.

All in all that "healthy stuff was just an excuse" and thats coming from someone who took WSU last year...........but I am not to blind to admit they just got their asses kicked by a better team.

Now tonight WSU was the better team.................

Was Texas outcoached - no doubt. But I can tell you the players just didnt care about this game. Is that wrong - no doubt. But those kids thought they would get a BCS game and 3 trips to San Diego in 4 years just didnt get their juices going.

Exactly...Texas wasn't beaten by a better team, a Pac 10 team at that. Neither was Virginia Tech. There were just too many intangibles that made it impossible for either Texas or VTech to take their respective games seriously. They didn't care if they won or lost...that's it, that's it. Those Sisters of Mother Mary playing in the Pac 10 just keep getting lucky playing against teams that don't try.

Great post, I enjoy reading all your posts. Its hilarious before bowl season and throughout the season many put down the pac 10. I admit the Pac 10 is down this year but still a tough conference to play in. Everybody has a hard time realizing the pac 10 teams beat on each other and that is the reason few pac 10 teams are ranked top 25. In addition Pac 10 plays tough OOC games as well.

This bowl season the pac 10 is playing great and people still cannot give the pac 10 credit.

Lets see what USC does to Michigan on Jan. 1st. :D Maybe Michigan will not come to play and not care if they win or lose like V-Tech and Texas. I hope so because i have USC -6 and -6.5 HUGE over Michigan. Biggest bet ever.
