take warm clothes, I think there still getting snow up there...just sayn

If your fam gets into racing, I'll be racing at 141 speedway in Francis Creek, about 45 min's south of Door County. Nice little facility with family atmoshere. (sunday night)

Otherwise, when me an the eX were in Door county it was late summer, wine tasting, cheese, and hiking, with an outdoor romp...:142hump:

If you have kids with you, stop at Bay Beach State Park just inside Green Bay near the 172/43/41 interchange. Great amusement park with rides for 50 cents for the kids.
They just opened the Zippin Pippin roller coaster for adults as well.

There is a nature preserve there as well to walk thought and see neat wildlife.

Not a whole heck of a lot to do in Door County except go to fish boils and stare at the water. probably going to be too cold to do much hiking or lounging around.

You have a little one, right?
Hope the weather is nice so you can spend some time hiking in the woods because that might be all you can do with your little one in tow.
Wife and I were up there last summer for a week in late June. We hiked in the woods..(wink wink, nudge nudge), rode our bikes through the state parks, checked out the wineries and the microbrewery--saw John Hiatt live...:0074
in short, did a lot of adult stuff while our kids spent the week with grandma in Sheboygan. If your kid was older, you could go to the water park(if warm enough) and play some mini-golf. We didn't do it, but you can take a ferry to Washington Island which is supposed to be nice.
We also visited a couple of the lighthouses and that was ok for passing some time. Enjoy your time in Door County--very pretty up there.

thanks for the ideas guys. Yeah we do have a little one, so no hiking but figure to do a lot of walking around. We are near the end so may do the ferry. Also plan to hit up the Orchard Country Winery as we heard it was decent.

luvmy - what type of racing do you do? Wifey isn't into it so likely won't make it out, but will keep it in mind.
