Flutie put a move on a linebacker at the goal line that made the guy fall flat on his face. Im not the biggest fan of Flutie Grapenuts, but some of the things he can still do are pretty impressive.

And how many opportunities to win playoff games has had? Please. The guy is just a stud and would have won someplayoff games if he didn't always have some numbnuts coach starting guys like Rob Johnson or Drew Brees over him. Just like Major Applewhite would have won a title at texas if Mack Brown didn't feel obligated to start Chrissy simms.

flutie is a great QB with loads of heart but hes most productive out of the backup role. You watch - after a few games and against a real defense - he'll be limited. defenses will learn how to defend him by crowding the line of scrmimage

Did'nt the Minnesota coaching staff try to do this today or did they decide to wait a few games and let him have his way today?

Kudos to Flutie.........what is hard for me to understand is Johnson and now Brees suck..........Flutie gave both Buffalo and SD a lot better chance to win than these qb's.

minnesota has never seen film with flutie, LT, Boston, dwight etc. Don't get me wrong - flutie is an amazing competitor and should definitely receive a gameball. But hostory has shown that his effectiveness will drop after a few games when the element of surprise will no longer exist in the SD offensive gameplan

jumping up in the air to throw over the defensive lineman was a pretty good belly laugh.

You guys can say that Flutie hasn't shown he can get it done for a long stretch of time, I'll give you that.

BUT ask yourself this --> is he better than Drew Brees, and is it even close? Yes and no. We saw that today.

:iagree:

It's very rarely mentioned he's a scab also. I saw some Pontiac commercial where they showed the Hail Mary BC clip...kind of ironic for an auto manufacturer to take on him for their "FUEL" commercial, as most of the people in this industry work for unions, and would not take kindly to Flutie. Was at the Boston College game when they retired his number...a pleasantly surprising amount of jeers for this clown.
