It's all a bunch of bs. How about asking him what he is betting, if anything. Folks can have good long runs - I once went over 2 years without alosing NFL Sunday and I wasnt using regression analysis or any of that other garbage. I know he did very well for awhile, now not so much. Of course Vegas will adjust the line - but if one point makes that much difference you probably shouldnt be playing the game to begin with.

I admit I played his picks for 5 years and never lost money. Last year was tough but I pulled through with some picks on my own. I am not playing his picks this year.

that video was comical.

he probably paid espn for the ad.

the best part was the "professional" sportsbetter at the end. I mean he's a "professional" and all. He comes rolling out of bed to bet bobs picks...that was priceless. I'm still laughing and he says aw shucks, Bob said I can't bet -24. And this guy is a professional....LOL

I watched the segment last night. I know he has been hitting @ a horrendous pace this year. I also heard a rumor that he was actually releasing the "wrong" side- so his "real" plays became that much more valuable. There could be some truth to that. Most successful syndicates have ultimately failed, but before they failed- they had the ability to manipulate the market w/ "head fakes" like the Computer Group and my man Dr. Ivan Mindlin (a real PHD). I love how ESPN failed to mention Bob's record this year- he has been getting worked this year, but his week 2 play on KU -23 was a winner (the only one mentioned in the segment.)
He buried himself by claiming how there have been numerous "hot handicappers" throughout the years BUT he was just the exception that has never gotten cold. I would not be surprised if he was releasing the wrong side of games because he created enough of a stir that he has now attracted the "wrong" people to him and now "So, you're the famous Dr. Bob?" How's you're wife doin?" etc etc... "YOU"RE WORKING FOR US NOW BOB" :mj07:

On another note, I was @ a buddies wedding in Napa Valley in 1999. I'm playing golf w/some old college friends, and one guy (he was from SF) who was aware of my gambling history is rambling about this Dr. Bob guy- and I'm just laughing assuming this joker who had bet w/me in the past has a tout playing him like a fiddle. Obviously, when my buddy is in on it in 99'/2000 Bob was pretty solid- my buddy wasn't exactly Johnny Vegas. I went 9-1 in NFL last week, but if I post my picks, I'll go 1-9 guaranteed. I would fade Dr. Bob picks, although at some point his releases will be his real plays. I truly believe that he has been giving out the opposite side thus far and I think he will begin to release the right side @ some point during the season. He may have just hit reality and sqwauking is a recipe for disaster. Like when you are on a nice run hitting 16 out of 20 and you start sqwauking. I think you know what I'm talking about. You're up $5k+, you can't lose, and then you decide to let everyone in the bar know about it.......pffffffffttt
You're done. Instant fade. Never disclose success. That may be why Dr. Bob is losing, I don't know? He layed the curse out by his comments on ESPN, but I think there is more to it than just an off year. Breathing became more important than winning. This guy is a pussy and easily could be manipulated. jmo

To go along with what Dr. fade said - Rumor is he took 5m to release the wrong side - Last week for example - every play he had as soon as they were released the lines went up 2+ points. think he liked Auburn this weekend +10' well he would love them at +12' - all he would have to do is say LSU best bet win buy 13. anyway
