excellent move by the eagles....boy,did they need a go-to receiver...

macklin and jackson are gonna wreak some havoc...

how much better does this make mcnabb?....should they have gone after a big receiver?...

detroit picks pettigrew with their 2nd first round pick...think it's a pretty good pick...good blocker & big target...

So I am a little slow on catching up.... just noticed that Crabtree didn't go until No. 10?? I think he will be the best skill position player (by far) coming out of this class.

Al Johnson could become a key role player along the line for the Patriots in 2009 as he brings a good amount of experience and skill to the table. However, unless he can play multiple positions on the line, he shouldn?t be considered a lock to make the team.

it seems like teams like centers to be able to play additional line positions...

thanks very much ie...will follow him now since he knows bj....

He more or less told me the same thing. First and foremost is getting the knee back to 100 percent, but his ability to play guard could make or break him in camp. I have no idea how he'll be able to handle that.

A buddy of mine that is a huge Vikings fan just emailed me "Fuck that... another wasted wide receiver pick" after the Harvin selection. I have to disagree. He'll be a great fit there (assuming someone can get him the ball).
