Just so you know, I will never have "auto invite" anymore, as we were fucked out of having an event last week because of one no show.
Just my take when I'm doing 'em!
I don't think that's the case at all. I still fault that stupid system they have. There will times every single one of us plans on playing "next week", and something happens where we can't. I have no doubt that you felt shitty over what happened. It just sucks that we couldn't drop you out, and continue on.
I think I am going to have events in the future where I invite 14 guys and say, "First 10 to enter over there are in". That way, if you don't make it, at least it's on you, and no one else.
Valid points concerning the "system". I second YYZ's motion to go with first set # to enter are in. Based on 1 or 2 under number of invites sent, if that is an option available in the setup?
agree with yyz completely about their software. If you get 12 people signed up make the contest for 11 or something. If you want you could also make it multi-entry I think and that way someone can just enter two lineups or whatever to make sure it fills.
You can invite as many as you would like, I believe. You HAVE to set a certain number for the actual event, though.
So, we can "invite" 30 guys to an event with 10 spots.
Sorry man. I think we need to set up a regular schedule every week for sign ups. It does suck the way that D/K does the private contests
