I am looking to become a Network administrator for a midsize company. Right now I am a Technician so this would be a major stepup for me. I never even thought of drug testing when I started applying to jobs

Is this all within the same company? If it is and you come up positive I would be real surprised if you didnt lose the job you have now.

How could you not have known about a drug test? Damn near everyplace gives the test these days.

Personnaly I think it should be legalized but I wont smoke just because my job and taking care of my family is to important to me. I get random tested about 3-4 times a year and I have seen people try to beat the test by using some of the methods mentioned above. The key word in that sentence was "try". The all lost there jobs.

I am about to be offered a job tomorrow and it is contingent on me passing a drug test which I figure I will have to take this weekend.

Why would you think they would wait to make you take the test till this weekend? I see them giving you the paperwork to take to the clinic right after they offer you the job.

30 years old never tried the stuff. Seen it in High School, College and other places. Main reason I couldn't afford it in High School and College and for some reason I was scared to death of losing any grants or scholarships I had for College if I got caught. Plus why push your luck, beer and etc are not against the law. Somebody will say "you don't know what your missing", I think I do. I am missing out on being worried about pissing in some cup.

I'll be the loser of the thread.....went thru six years of college (deans list) played football etc etc...smoked grass at least 5 times a week...not just a joint...bong after bong...bowl after bowl :D

I have seen the Grateful Dead at least a dozen times. I enjoyed potheads and they enjoyed me :D

Finally graduated and haven't smoked since '96...BUT, I have nothing but fond, positive memories of my college days. Go figure.

:D

The beat goes on:

http://www.onnnews.com/story.php?record=29325

looks like the Ohio State Patrol or Missouri State Patrol may have a new speed enforcement plane FOC.

I found one Piper Cherokee on Ebay and the starting bid was $60,000. Now I don't know much about Pipers but 50 pounds at $60,000, that is $1200 a pound.

What is street value these days?

I took the test today and didnt take anything just drank alot of water starting the day I posted this. I will give the results out this weekend if anyone cares.

Bubba this is a totally new job and not with the same company and my current company could careless. And as far as taking the test all that is required is that I take it before I start, I excepted their counter offer today and start on the 29th so I have till the weekend before to take but I didnt want this hanging ove my head should I test positive.

I am pretty young 27 and this will my 4th job since leaving college. I have worked for NY state as an investigator and then went on to different computer related jobs once I decided I didnt like working for the govt and all those jobs never asked for a drug test including Ny state and this company is starting something new for new hires and I will be the first to take it.

And Geno no offense but it all started with a little weed . Give me a break. The father you are talking about probably had a lot more going on then trying a joint and then doing LSD and having kids that are all F----d up. That is the problem in my opnion today everyone blames something small for all the problems today and the minority cries so loud. Oh my kids saw janets breast now they are going to do drugs. Oh I heard howard stern say bad things on the radio he has to go. You know what SHut the F up and dont listen to the radio dont watch TV If you dont want your kids watching or hearing this Turn the F---ing radio off dont watch TV have them read a book. I could go on and on about this society we have to live in and its just not worth it.

But everyone is entitle to their own opinions for now but leave it up to politicians and these little babies who cry about everything to screw it up for the rest of us

Irononically, I facilitate drug testing for new hires within my department...

I get a kick out of the positive tests...People always act suprised and appalled...not long ago, a lady swore up and down that her daughter made her brownies for her birthday and as joke she put weed in them without her knowing. LOL!
