no wonder i lost faith in our government a long time ago...these commercials are nothing short of hilarious (especially after a bong hit..lol) ...

oh yeh ..thats right...because they are growing bushels of weed in the arid deserts of iraq..and the mountains of of some of these arab countries...not that i would know i mean i guess its possible since its a weed but....

the point is these commercials are clueless...

Blaim the auto makers for your gas mileage with SUV's. They know how to increase it by 3 or 4 miles per gallon if they want. There just waitinig for the government to tell them. Why? Well if they give it first then the Feds will ask for 1 more mile. I see it worked. We have new regulations starting in 2004 SUV and some Pick UP's must get 1 or 2 miles per gallon better. Do we have any forward looking company saying hell heres 4 more miles to the gallon. Keep a eye on the insurance cost for these SUV.s. Thats next. I will assure you up at least 10 percent with in a year.
Wait to here of the new fines coming if you have a accedent when you were on your cell phone. On there way in many states soon in yours.

On the other topic, every gallon of gas somewhere buys puts a little money in the pocket of texas, venezuela, saudi arabia, kuwait, iraq, alaska, and everyone else in the world that has their hand in the oil pie.

Yes, other countries buy oil, and oil funds lots of people that aren't terrorists, but if you think the oil and gas you buy doesn't fund the Saudis and Iraqis and Yemenis and Omanis, then you need to go back to your connect-the-dots book.

The Bin Laden's may have got rich in construction, but the money for the construction came from your oil and gas. There is not much wealth in the middle east that would be there without americans buying that oil.

The sad thing about the oil and gas situation is the US has more oil reserves offshore than it knows what to do with. The problem with drilling is they are so taxed that it's not profitable. If the taxes were lowered (Ha Ha) We probably wouldn't need Arib oil.

We get more oil from Canada, Mexico and Venizuela than we get from Iraq. I can understand the message of the commericals, but they stretch things a little too much. If we were serious about eliminating the drug trade, we would have destroyed the opium crop in Afghanistan and surrounding areas rather than turning a blind eye. Some beaureaucrat in D.C. made these commericals to keep his highly paid for little work job.

the commercial I saw in this campaign didn't seem to target pot to me. I thought it was more about coke, heroin, etc. I don't like the use of pot, and I think in a perfect world, nobody would smoke it. However, people do smoke it. It's the number one cash crop in Kentucky, Tennessee, and several other Southern states, and I don't see that changing. I don't think there's any correlation with pot and terrorists, but there might be and probably is somewhere along the chain with other narcotics.

A point was made we have tons of oil reserves off our costs. However companies are taxed so much it's not worth going after.
Yo large companies dont pay to many taxes. They got the best tax consultants and lawyers money can get. Not to worry as soon as they can get there money when the price of gas is up enough. They will get and let you have all you want.
As for the Saudis and the bank rolling of 9/11 and many other acts. They did that. It's already been discovered.
Iraq had nothing to do with 9/11. And yes we do get a good amount of oil from Saudi.
And yes if the Presedent would release some of our reserves until Venizuela is back to 100%. Becasue 20% of our oil does come from there. Just maybe our gas prices would not have gone up 32cents a gallon in less then 6 weeks. He does not see the need. Typical OIL man run the price up good first screw the people. Poor guy can only think about one thing at a time. Why do I think it's Iraq. If He wants inflation to run wild just let that price go a little higher. Watch what can happen to interest rates next. Those folks are runnng the wrong add.

Agree with you 100%. There are enough gas and oil reserves(stock piled ) in the US to keep the price spikes down. Why then everytime something comes out in the press gas prices go up? Price gouging! It's time the people took a stand. It will never happen. Any time someone says gas shortage people stand in line and pay the price. Ever notice that gas prices go up just before the summer when everyone travels? I could go on and on.

Morris all im saying is help out till this Venizuela thing is under control. Why hold off unless your hoping for higher prices.
Someone told me yesterday im lucky im not in Europe. It's 2.50 and 2.75 there. I live here im glad and it has nothing to do with it. I dont care what there doing. We need to take care of our own here. Europe its there problem if they except those prices.
