Vinnie I have been thru this twice and luckily have beaten this sh*t. First it will cost you some cash but it is worth it in the long run. Second hire the most experienced and most popular lawyer in that area the rest he should be able to do with your cash!! Money talks when it comes to this sh@t just let him know up front that money is not going to be a problem!!

Get my email from Jack when he gets back. A good friend of mine is a very good trial attorney here in KC and will know the best one to get. He took care of one of my employees a few years ago.

Vinnie, I don't want to be rude, but if you were California you'd be in deep $hit......with or without an attorney. Unless you have some valid discrepancy, an attorney won't do you any good. I suspect you should contact someone mentioned above and, at least have a conversation.

My g'friend got a DUI a couple of years ago and paid dearly for a high-powered attorney. The only thing that afforded her was not having to appear in court. The penalties are the same regardless of whether you have representation or not.

I know laws vary by state, so at least have a consultation and lay out the facts. A reputable lawyer will guide you on further procedures.

Good Luck, my friend

What you NEED to do, is pay your debt to society and realize the PAIN it is costing you financially, so you will rememeber that the next time you drink, to not get in the God damn car and drive!

Because it is NOT just you that you are putting in danger of losing his life, it's the poor bastards who never saw you coming....PEACE

I'm one of the sorry pricks that have a DUI under their belt. i got off with the lowest penalty of anyone I know of and here is my advice.....

1. Don't get a lawyer if it is your first offense. The law is pretty much cut and dried, so there is no miracle cure that any lawyer is going to offer.

2. Prepare to look the part of a first time offender and someone that doesn't "look the part". Come up with a story that puts the ownus on you, and wear an outfit that looks very professional but not over the top. Wear dress pants, a dress shirt and a sport coat.

3. Take responsibility for your actions, so the judge doesn't feel he need to "help you" and you'll have a fighting chance.

From what I see, a lawyer is a waste on your first offense because it is relatively a mechanical process. Just my opinion of course.

Vinnie,
You need a lawyer in KC,MO that knows the Prosecutors. It is up to you, but I know how this town works.

Couldn't agree more. I'm not familiar with Dr. Fade's man, but I just got home and got an email reply from my friend who is the trial attorney and I have some info I need to pass on to ya.

Dude, Heaven is a bit north of Kansas City so save your moral judgements for somewhere else. You don't know the circumstances behind the allegation Vinnie is facing he still gets to get tried in a court of law you judgemental, blasphemous hypocrite. You attack the guy and then end your message with PEACE. I hate when people somehow feel they have the right to make moral judgement on other human beings based on nothing more than their own conjecture. What a friggin douchebag. PEACE.

F'ck off fat ass.....

"Allegation"???? What part of...."Vinnie got a DUI in kc" didn't you get? That's not an allegation, that's a stated fact, moron....Anyone who gets in a car and drives drunk deserves what he gets in a court of law. A DUI means he was driving intoxicated......PERIOD! Wise up jackass.

I would venture to guess Vinnie knows his actions were wrong. Hence he said, he knows what comes with posting this would mean, "so fire away".....

Poetic justice will be had if you are the one who is decimated by a drunk driver. The most idiodic post on any forum I have EVER read. You just go on condoning drunk drivers. It's the innocent bystanders that are usually affected...What a complete Tool!

Hey new guy, I didn't condone a fuhkin thing and until he is tried it is an ALLEGATION you stupid fuhkin moron. Maybe pointing a finger and saying he did it works as a conviction in whatever little fuhkin corner of the world you ruin with your presence but not here.

A DUI does not mean you were driving intoxicated unless you are convicted of it you self righteous prick. How the fuhk would you know what the stupidest post ever is anyway you only have twenty something of them and so far two of them are ignorant.

I would venture to guess that Vinnie knows what he needs to do legally and morally to account for his actions and at no time will any of that include listening to the higher ground rants of some judgemental little girl such as yourself. So listen up Janice this is your wake up call. I have lost someone in a car accident however, it was due to someone dialing a cell phone while driving and blindsided my girlfriend at the time killing her instantly.........you ever done that douchebag???????? That was a number of years ago and has nothing to do with anything but I damn fuhking sure wouldn't ever try to wear the loss of a loved one as some kind of badge that gives me the authority if you will to try and convict others and then tell them how fuhked up they are and what they deserve and such on a friggin bulletin board forum you idiot. I'm a tool? Re-read the posts there hand job and see if it wasn't you that came out with asshole blazing. How fuhking dare you tell someone they deserve what they get without even so much as a trial you fuhkin dildo. Who the hell are you to pass judgement on anyone. See now I am getting upset and I don't want to get upset with you Nancy so face it .................you are wrong...................you were wrong................you opened mouth when it wasn't needed..........so shut up and read up on what an allegation is you utterly useless bag of crap. Also, I am not fat. The name stems from an inside joke with my daughter, but you just keep on assuming things..............its worked so well for you here. PEACE

By the way, Poetic Justice, is a literary term. Poetic Justice does not happen in real time it only happens in books in life it is simply called justice hence the word poetic, but I am sure you knew that already as you seem to know everything else.

Whatever Fat ass.....

He himself admitted to driving under the influence. He didn't deny it. Driving while intoxicated is wrong. PERIOD! No matter how you slice it.

So you can call me names or names of all your ex girlfriends or whatever you like. But the simple fact is, he claimed he got the DUI, meaning he was driving impaired. That is wrong JACKASS.

So shove your longwinded speach up your rotten ass. What goes around comes around. You best watch the roads you drive down.....
